Tools
In addition to the action buttons and persistent guides, Guided Generations offers a collection of tools accessible from the gear icon or the persistent guides menu. These tools help you refine messages, fix mistakes or perform housekeeping tasks. You can show or hide each tool button in the settings panel.
Use Corrections (file icon) to rewrite the last AI message based on targeted instructions. This tool injects the message to be reworked and your instructions into the chat and generates a new swipe. It is helpful for fixing factual errors or changing tone without discarding the entire message.
- Type your correction instructions in the input box (e.g. "Describe her expression more vividly").
- Click Corrections. The extension stores your input, injects the last message and your instructions with a custom depth, and triggers a new swipe of the message.
- The updated message appears as a new swipe.
You can customise the Corrections prompt, designate a profile/preset, and set a summarisation depth in the settings.
The Spellchecker tool (spell check icon) runs your input through a grammar and style polish. It uses a raw generation command to produce a corrected version of your text and then replaces the content in the input box.
- Type text in the input box.
- Click Spellchecker. The extension sends your text through the configured model and returns a corrected version.
- The corrected text replaces your original input. You can then send it as a normal message.
Simple Send (paper plane icon) sends your current input as a user message without triggering an AI response. This is useful when you want to add context or narrate something manually. After sending, the input field is cleared.
Edit Intros (user edit icon) rewrites character introductions using a popup with multiple formatting options. You can change perspective (first person, second person, third person), tense (past or present), style (novella, internet RP, literary or script) and pronouns. The popup also allows a custom command where you can write your own STScript to transform the intro.
- Click Edit Intros to open the popup.
- Select options for perspective, tense, style and pronouns. Hover each option to see its description.
- Click Apply. The extension runs the appropriate STScript and generates a new swipe of the current intro. You can click Copy to copy the edited intro to your clipboard or Reset to restore the original.
If you accidentally clear your input or a tool clears it, Input Recovery (rotate left arrow icon) restores the previously saved text. When you click the Input Recovery button the extension retrieves the last saved input and puts it back into the input box.
Clear Input (trash icon) empties the input box and resets the internal input history. Use this to quickly clear large prompts or unwanted text. It uses the /setinput command to reset the input field.
These buttons appear only after a Guided Continue operation.
- Undo Last Addition (rotate left icon) removes only the portion that was appended to the message during the last Guided Continue. It leaves the original part of the message intact.
- Revert to Original (history icon) restores the entire message to how it was before the Guided Continue.
