Library still problem on Arduino Library manager. Still see "Generic I2C Function" name.

I have initiated the name change on your behalf: #1087

Unlike submissions, this type of request is still handled manually. The Library Manager index maintainer occasionally comes through to clear all the outstanding requests and merges the PRs when that is done. If you are subscribed to the linked PR, you'll get a notification at that time.

Please notice that this pull request is still open. As I mentioned, a human must manually update the database in order to accommodate your request. It is not automated like submissions are. So you must be patient.

The situation would have been just the same if you would have gone through with your more convoluted plan to remove and then resubmit the library under the new name. There is no loophole that will get you your name change more quickly.
