Unfair automatic renewal and onerous termination clauses!
We gave notice to termination our contract at the required time, 5-6 months before expiry, sent by recorded delivery to the Head Office however they are disputing this (saying it was late - it wasn't) and trying to tie us in for another 2 years!
B&M's termination and automatic renewal clauses are very onerous compared to their competitors and could easily be argued to be unfair under UK law. We were not made aware of these and this is part of the reason we are leaving.
In any case, they're simply not very good at what they do so go elsewhere.

I wanted to say that without the phone call from Alice See I was leaving B & M / Panda waste. Poor communication, random collections at 1am, missed collections and then turn up without telling us, were common issues we faced. And when I messaged on the website I never had an acknowledgement - certainly not in the 5 working days as the state!
Alice looked at the call logs and put things in motion to move forward positively

The overall service and communication of changes when they occur is absolutely spot on. For any questions I have, there is always a direct line for me to speak to someone and get the answers I need.
Issues occur very rarely and when they do it is dealt with appropriatly and in a timely manner.
We feel looked after and regular check ins by our account manager takes place with an emphasis on improving so we never feel like we are left to it.

Constant missed collections and overcharges
If you just need someone to the job and be reliable- don’t use B&M. It feels like my second job is to tell them how to do the most simple tasks; I have had more back and forth with B&M over missed collections, unknown bin location (they’ve been kept in the same place since they took on the job) and overcharges than I have with some of my own suppliers in my own industry.
I would trust the cast of Chicken Run to get the job done better than these guys.

PANDA FLETCH BM VERY VERY POOR SERVICES
Fined for going out of business
I was assured that I would be getting a first rate service and that their quote would be sufficient for my needs. I signed up for two years.
Didn’t read the small print as a busy person running a small independent restaurant. They automatically renewed my contract and my prices went through the roof with fines for every collection, even though my output had reduced. Sometimes they didn’t show, presumably when they were drafted in to help out the situation in Birmingham. I was never credited for no shows, but I was fined for being over weight the following week. And now when my business has had to close they are charging me a termination action fee because I didn’t give them the right notice. Four years I have been with them, but they’re charging me a 40% termination fee as I was half a month into the next contract. Appalling lack of understanding for small businesses
