Their ap doesn't work and so my office heater only works intermittently - despite many attempts by me, my staff and the original installation engineer to configure it satisfactorily. Today it has gone completely so I have no heating on an extremely cold day only months after purchasing it. I just want a heater I can turn on and off at will. A facility not offered by Ecostrad apparently. Would strongly recommend you avoid these heaters. I will be in future!
I’m extremely disappointed with the handling of an Error 2 fault on my Ecostrad IQ Ceramic WiFi Radiator. The radiator has failed due to what I was told is an issue with the end panel, which needs replacing at a cost of £99.99.
What really concerns me is that the support representative appeared fully aware of this fault and how common it is with this model. Despite that, there was no attempt at troubleshooting, goodwill, or workaround. Instead, the conversation very quickly turned to confirming that my warranty had expired in November 2025, followed immediately by being told I would have to pay the £99.99 repair cost.
This strongly suggests that Electric Radiators are already aware this is a known issue with Ecostrad radiators, yet customers are still expected to absorb the cost once the warranty period ends. There was no sympathy shown, no acknowledgement that this appears to be a design or reliability problem, and no flexibility whatsoever.
To make matters worse, the support person stated that “electrical items are inclined to fault”, which felt dismissive and unacceptable given the price and expected lifespan of a premium electric radiator. A £100 charge for a known issue, with no goodwill offered, does not inspire confidence in either the product or the after-sales support.
Overall, this experience has left me very unhappy. I would expect far better support and accountability for what appears to be a recurring fault, not an automatic push to charge customers once the warranty clock runs out.
I would not recommend this product or this company based on my experience.
After installation, the radiator consistently shows a room temperature that is around 6°C higher than the actual temperature, meaning the room does not heat properly. I provided photos, app screenshots and external thermometer readings as requested by their support team.
After weeks of troubleshooting, I was told to use “temperature compensation” as a workaround rather than being given a clear explanation as to whether this level of discrepancy is normal or indicates a fault. I was also passed between different staff members, with one initially claiming the radiator was not even their product.
To make matters worse, I was told they could not help further because I did not purchase directly from them, despite this clearly being their manufactured product (similar to buying a Bosch appliance from a retailer and still expecting Bosch to confirm if it works correctly).
Overall, the product does not perform as advertised and the customer support experience was extremely disappointing. I would advise anyone considering this product to be very cautious.
Its the second exostrad iq ceramic radiator I've had (they replaced the first) and the therstat just doesn't work properly. The temperature jumps around, notably when you change programme. Ive had to turn it off several times during the night as its blasting out heat due to incorrect temperature reading. Don't buy.
I purchased an Ecostrad radiator, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. One of the units I bought had to be replaced 3 times because it was extremely noisy. I hoped the replacements would fix the problem, but dealing with the repeated issues was frustrating.
The last unit seemed to work fine at first, but after about two years, it showed an ''Err2'' error and wouldn’t turn on at all. For the price, I expected a much more reliable and long-lasting product.
Overall, the repeated problems, noise, and short lifespan have left me very unhappy. I cannot recommend this radiator (Model No: HCT150T)
We initially bought an ecostrad radiator and were pleased but it started making loud creaking noises on heat up and then stopped working. As it was still under guarantee we were sent another without any problem, which shows an awareness on the part of the company of a fault, however they wouldn't start the guarantee from scratch on the new radiator which I wasn't happy with. Anyway all was well at first but the new one has now started creaking on heat up so let's see what happens. Also the app for the radiator which had been working fine has now started selecting the temperature for itself, possibly since a recent update, so I have to constantly check the temperature the radiator is set to as it isn't always warm enough, maybe the app needs another update. Having said all that it throws out a lot of heat and radiates well around our room.
The customer service support was very helpful. Emailed them with an issue I was having and I received a reply the following morning. A call was booked with a member of the technical support team and they were very professional and very friendly when helping me with the issue I was having.

I needed a heating solution for my kitchen and settled on the ceramic radiator, had it 4 years now and still going strong. Great product.
Can’t fault them. Easy to deal with, rapid response times and great after sales support. Highly recommend
Great service and product. Never let us down always really helpful.
I bought an IQ Ceramic for my Garden office which whilst well insulated and well built was chilly on a morning. Not anymore, my electrician says he always buys these and I was very happy to be led by him as it’s lovely and toasty and I can boost it from the kitchen before I go to work.
As a wholesaler, we rely on our suppliers to give a prompt & reliable serviceso that we can give our customers confidence in the products we sell. Ecostrad certainly provide this.
Great product. Staff always very helpful. Very Happy
