Sent expired food, then charged after canceling

I was exploring their website. Unfortunately, in order to see what meals rhey offer, you have to give your credit card. I hadn't decided whether I wanted to order and they charged me and shipped the order! I received expired, yellowing broccoli and sprouted potatoes with black spots. Because the meat had no expiration date listed, I was afraid to eat it. I cancelled, said I wasn't paying for the order received and they tried to charge me for another order!! Rip off!

Oven ready would be preferred

I like the additional meal options but would buy a box more often if there were oven ready meals available, without having to pay an additional fee per meal. Time is our priority as a family so oven ready is essential.

Ive been a customer for years now and…

Ive been a customer for years now and have been happy with the pricing, quality, and shipping accuracy/ delivery. But recently the last few months they have sent meals that i didnt order, meals without placards( their reaction to the placards is you can download your instructions online, but if im paying for a service that includes the paper placards i expect that). They also have slowly increased the price of my meals per week from $63, to $73, and the last few orders were $83. I do understand that depending on what meals i order it changes the price. Everyplate makes it annoyingly hard to find the individual price of meals so its always a guessing game. The idea behind everyplate is great but not with the way they have been operating. The meals are great 90% of the time but the other 10% was just my opinion of them

Absolute disgrace of a company.

Absolute disgrace of a company.

I was offered a FREE box through a friend’s referral. The moment I signed up, EveryPlate tried to charge my $151 — for a box that was clearly advertised as free.

I rang customer service straight away to fix it. After wasting my time, I was told it would be “sorted” and that I’d instead get a box for around $80 (still not free, but fine — just wanted the issue resolved).

Fast forward to Friday night — bang — my credit card is charged the FULL $151 anyway.

So not only did they ignore what was agreed on the phone, they helped themselves to my money without authorisation.

This feels deliberately misleading. Lure you in with a “free box”, then quietly slam your card with a massive charge and hope you don’t notice.

Customer service clearly means nothing because what they promise doesn’t get honoured.

If you’re thinking of trying EveryPlate — DON’T. Check your bank statements carefully because they will charge you whatever they like.

Dodgy, deceptive and absolutely not worth the stress.

Amazing meals and good variety

All the meals that I have ordered from Every plate have been awesome! The only issue I've had is that there have been missing ingredients in several orders. Most of the time it's been something I have at home that I can replace but occasionally I don't have a replacement. They are really great about immediately crediting though.

Don't use this food delivery service

Absolutely would not recommend using this food delivery service. I just signed up for this service on Sunday Jan 25, 2026. My first order is set to arrive Thursday Jan 29, 2026. I noticed a second charge to my card from Every Plate, and when I checked the website for payment history it said it was for a premium recipe. I didn't select a premium recipe. So I reached out to their customer service. The first when it connected me to did not even give me the chance to respond, and disconnected the conversation immediately. So I had to go back into the customer support and tried again. I was connected to another agent, JP, and at first they couldn't tell me what the charge was for and said there was nothing they could do. JP then said it was for the broccoli cheddar soup, but the soup is not a premium meal, which I pointed out. JP then said it was for the Mashed Potato Bar, that is not on this week's menu it's next week's, and it doesn't state it is a premium meal either. I pointed both of these out, and JP said there was nothing they could do. So they are charging people for recipes they didn't select and their customer service cannot do anything to help and they cannot refund their customers. Very unsatisfied with this service and I will never be using them again and will cancel my account immediately.
