As a retired commercial fisherman, I have a very limited income, & I am very appreciative of any assistance that I receive.
How many "free" helping hands are offered to you? Malwarebytes has provided a "free" safety program to me with their "free scan" that supplements the programs that are on my computer.
Like the man said, "That's worth more than twice the price I paid!"

Disappointing product. The scans are comparable to most of the free anti virus products I've used in the past. I use an ad blocker and never see ads on websites but the minute I installed Malwarebytes and started using their web protection ads showed up on EVERY SITE I used. And the ads were those click bait, privacy worrisome kind of ads. When I turned off the web protection I stopped seeing the ads. Considering I paid $42 for this app I did not expect that. Double dipping. I cancelled the automatic renewal and notified paypal of it to prevent Malwarebytes from renewing anyway.

As I am a Malwarebytes user and is all about sharing my genuine experience and highlighting the features that matter most to me. Here's a breakdown to include:
The Good Stuff:
- Effective Protection: Malwarebytes has protected my device from malware, ransomware, and other threats.
- Easy to Use: It's a user-friendly the interface is, and how easy it is to navigate.
- Real-time Protection: Real-time protection feature, which provides continuous monitoring and threat detection.
- System Performance: Malwarebytes does not affects my system's performance and does not slow it down and run smoothly.

Malwarebytes is invaluable. It is an absolute technology must. Not only has it protected my data from being compromised (when others failed), the newsletter provides up-to-date proactive information to keep users aware and their data safe.

This is a great product that keeps your online experience safe as well as maintaining your files and apps from viruses and spyware. It does not nag you about adding extra features to generate more money but it does suggest ways to improve your security footprint. The absolute BEST anti-virus in my opinion and I highly recommend it to my service customers.

I have been using the service for many years and so far, I have not had any issues with safety. With all the black Friday stuff I have had malicious txt and emails blocked in real time which is handy.

Installation on both Windows and Android was easy and painless. Was a great help removing dodgy components of an old WinZip product bundle that I had installed.

I have been using Malwarebytes for years and in all these years, my computer has never been compromised by malware or virus of any kind. I am very pleased with Malwarebytes

This is fraud software that doesn`t do anything. It acts like it is doing something but nothing is being done. It is designed to scam people with no malware or virus problem who buy it and think they are protected. They also lie about a trial period and still charge you £49.99 monthly you after you have cancelled the trial. DO NOT INSTALL IT ITS A BIG SCAM

I've been a loyal customer of Malwarebytes since 2019, with no issues. However, I have been trying for the last week to access MyAccount, but with no luck. Verification codes never arrives. I've reported this issues with Customer Support on several occasions, with no response. Poor Service. It seems they just take your money and run.

EDIT....
After being contacted by Customer Services, the matter has now been dealt with in a very satisfactory manner.
I have been a customer for a few years and find Malwarebytes fare value for money as it does it's job
What I am not happy about is that about a month ago I received an e-mail stating that my renewal was due, but my payment card was due to expire soon (wrong). Although the e-mail looked genuine, having many correct details, I still thought it might be a scam, so did not reply to it, instead sending a copy direct to Malwarebytes 'not via the link on the e-mail. Due to no reply, I sent a second e-mail, still no reply received.
So I don't know if it was a mistake on Malwarebytes part or the e-mail was a scam.
I know of at least another person having received the same e-mail, who is also being ignored by Malwarebytes.
This is not good customers service!
EDIT Just logged into my account. Tried to correct my card expiry date due to Malwarebytes having the wrong expiry date, Still stated card not accepted due to expiry date, so I renewed using the same card, renewal accepted, so the e-mail I had received was from Malwarebytes, but their system is faulty.

It helped me detect a Trojan Horse virus on my College's website.

Malwarebytes offers a service to identify protection. Digital footprint, they offer a free scan.
I tried not with my personal email but a secondary that I use for other purposes. That email never had scams or spam emails before, so as i added my email to the digital footprint to scan it didn't report anything with my email as it should but the following days I just received scam and spam emails like crazy! and i still receive them occasionally, I'm glad I didn't paid a subscription to this company and I'm not ever planning to after this! Actual Scam!!

The down load went well but the installation was horrendous had to speak to an agent who was excellent and all seems to be well now and up and running

I have been a Malwarebytes user for about 15+ years. I trust this brand and believe the developers are looking out for our best interests and want to keep us safe. I always feel protected knowing that Malwarebytes is watching out for the bad guys. I use it on my phone, computer and tablet!

I used their scammer text checker and Malwarebyte AI made it so easy to report text scammer activities. Blocking phone number isn't enough fighting crime.

I kept seeing people online claim that this antivirus is the best on Mac, and the moment I found a good discount I grabbed a 2-year subscription. Unfortunately, it completely fails to deliver on what it promises. It makes a lot of mistakes for example, it flags your VPN as a threat. It doesn’t work with Private Relay, which means the web protection doesn’t work either.
But the most disappointing part is that it simply doesn’t detect viruses. Just yesterday I received spam with a .pdf attachment I knew immediately it was malware. I scanned my Mac with Malwarebytes, and it found nothing. Then I switched to ESET: it instantly detected the malicious attachment in the email and removed it. That’s the level of protection I expect.
On top of that, Malwarebytes constantly pushes you to buy their VPN. There are no advanced settings, there is literally just a single “scan” button, and when you press it you don’t even understand what exactly it’s scanning. I strongly do not recommend using this antivirus on Mac. It has almost no configuration options, practically no reports, and gives the user no insight into what the software is actually doing. I deeply regret buying it.
I tried to get a refund because I bought two years in advance, and I asked them to return the money for the second year that hasn’t even started yet. The purchase was made on 06/27/2025, I used it for less than half a year, and I wasn’t asking for a refund for the first year at all. But they refused to refund the second year, hiding behind their 60-day refund policy. A good product wouldn’t need such heavy discounts in the first place.
I do not recommend Malwarebytes, and I’m extremely dissatisfied with the way they treat their customers.

### ⭐ Malwarebytes Saved My Sanity—and My Wife’s Computer
Twelve years ago, I was drowning in a sea of viruses and malware. I had tried everything—Norton, McAfee, Spybot S&D, and other antivirus programs—but none of them could fully protect my computer or my wife’s. She ran a daycare and often clicked on coloring pages for the kids, only to be hit with redirect links and infections. I spent countless hours removing viruses, reformatting drives, and reinstalling programs. It was a nightmare.
Then a friend recommended Malwarebytes.
I started with the free version on my wife’s computer. Almost immediately, she began receiving alerts—Malwarebytes was actively blocking threats. She’d call out every time it stopped something, and I realized: *this actually works*. For the first time in years, I wasn’t constantly fixing her computer.
After a year of flawless protection, I upgraded to the Pro version. That was over a decade ago, and I haven’t looked back. I haven’t had to repair her computer or reformat a drive since. Malwarebytes has been a fortress against the bad guys and girls online.
If you’re tired of fighting malware and wasting time, Malwarebytes is worth every penny. It’s the best security software I’ve ever used—and I’ve used them all.
