If I could give PlantSnap zero stars to I would. They took a subscription payment I didn’t authorise and although I did contact Customer Service they couldn’t care less. Avoid at all costs.

Useless customer service

Absolutely useless and a complete racket.

Absolutely useless. Cannot correctly identify any plants I have photographed!
Shows pics of completely unsimilar plants to my photos. Groan, what a waste of money.
And somehow they charged me £29+ for an annual subscription, which I have now cancelled (but lost my money). There is no help on the app for doing this - you have to work it out yourself, via helpful reviews from other Plantsnap victims online, in my case.

I’ve had plantsnap for 4 months and it hasn’t managed to identify one single plant or tree successfully in that time. Some of the species I have tried it with are fairly unusual but it’s not even close. I’m a very keen gardener and know a fair bit about plants and bought it to assist me. It hasn’t and never will. Save your money buy something else. It’s completely useless.

I tried to use plantsnap and they took…

I tried to use plantsnap and they took $29.99 from my credit card without my authorisation. I got in touch with them and they said Stripe collects the subscriptions. The next day they took another $29.99.
Tried contacting Stripe but they are impossible to get hold of.
So avoid Plantsnap if you don't want to be scammed.
They are just a rip off company who justs takes your money.

Also I did try out their app on 5 different plant and it did no Identify any of them correctly.

Plant snap used to be great but no more.

Plant snap used to be great. Now it is wrong 100% of the time. I can take three photos and get three answers. I can take a photo of a plant I know, and it is identified incorrectly. I am very sorry that I purchased a life membership. I plan to deactivate the app because it makes me so angry. Do not purchase this app.

This app is total garbage!

This app is total garbage!! I took a bunch of pictures that I KNOW what they are and this app identified every one wrong!! Wish I hadn’t purchased the lifetime subscription. Picture this is 1000 times better! I would love to cancel this worthless subscription!!

App indicates I"m out of snaps and…

App indicates I"m out of snaps and gives me the opportunity to buy 5 more for 99 cents. I've done it twice now, each time with "Your purchase is complete, you are all set" message at the end. But then I try to use it and it says I am out of snaps. But I just bought 10, how can I be out when I haven't used it even once since completing the 5 snap purchase process twice?

PlantSnap - it used to be a decent app. That was in the good old days!

This used to be a reasonably functional app, which I paid to install. But now, the app, that was working, suddenly doesnt work at all - it keeps cycling back to download a new version. When you then download the new version, it doesnt automatically replace the old one - and the new one will charge you either 2 US$ per month or about 80 US$ for a life subscription. With the ethics this company demonstrates, they will keep charging again, or increasing the charges. Fraud .... it isnt - it¨s just a very dodgy way to sell an app. Find a cheaper and better alternative - they have killed their own product, after first reaping all those nice pictures and locations that people have uploaded to them for free! Shame really!
