When mentioning we would be hiring for another week later. They suggested it worked out cheaper for annual policy and converted it even though we were on day 2 of the original hire.

I paid to upgrade my policy because my original cover didn’t include the country I was travelling to. The upgrade documents were sent to an email I haven’t used for over 12 years instead of my active email. I never received the documents, so the upgrade was useless and I had to buy insurance again at the counter. Very disappointing experience.

First time used Worldwide Travel Insurance for car hire insurance. Very efficient and friendly customer service, cover appears more than sufficient compared to other policy's but hopefully we don't have to use.
Saved me €296 on a Hertz rental (fast refund)
I made a claim after a Hertz rental in Finland over New Year. One very cold night the battery died and we had to call Viking roadside assistance to jump-start the car. The charge was €296 and Hertz took it from my card right away.
I checked the policy and a jump-start call-out wasn’t clearly listed (recovery/towing is, but not this), so I wasn’t sure it would be approved. I submitted a claim with the paperwork anyway. After 5 days they asked for a photo of the service vehicle, but I didn’t have one. A few days later they approved it, and shortly after that I got the money back on my card: €295.87.
Quick process, fair decision, and a fast refund. Worth it if you rent cars regularly.

It was only customer service that was helpful, the process online was a bit difficult for me to navigate. Mainly because it was hesitant to take my card.

they charge you for everything. if you live outside of EU, first 75 pounds are out of your pocket. then they reimbursed the rest of the amount but charging me a money transfer fee of 21 EUROS! is this normal?????

My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 so getting insurance quotes has been painful at times with online quotes rejected, bank insurance rejected etc. Worldwide Travel Insurance was recommended to us so I first checked online. I was able to see a quote straightaway for insurance with no pre-existing conditions which is a useful benchmark. I then called for a quote with medical conditions. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, clear and concise and talked me through each stage. I received a quote the following day and was given information on each section to review carefully. I rang back to confirm purchase and again was given further information and options which were all explained carefully.
Each time I phoned, I got through quickly and was dealt with extremely professionally. I was very impressed with the service and feel confident in the product.
