I ordered an Alexander Rose garden bench this week and had it within 48 hours. Great service.
Had the pleasure of the assistance of Sam in the garden department recently. What a knowledgeable, kind and wonderful person. I came out with a better plan than what I entered with and look forward to returning for goods over the coming weeks to complete "our" plan including airplants!😂
I truly hope her dedication to her job is also noticed internally.
I love this shop and never leave without buying something. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful, nothing is a problem. They have a fantastic range of products from garden supplies to pet supplies and prices are good too.
I was so excited to visit this store today, but the excitement very quickly went away when we were looking at the cabin homes. The employee in the cabins was implying that we wouldn’t be able to afford the cabins and it was almost as if he was speaking down to us. Then, we went to the other building at the bottom of the carpark, and I was looking at fairy lights. I had an older man (employee) sitting behind the counter with a sour look at me. I asked him for assistance and he simply said “what’s on the shelf is what we have.” Very abruptly, as if he couldn’t care less. I’m very disappointed in the attitude received to us by the employees. I will not be coming back at all.
Went into Hanleys last week to get some houseplants. They always have a great variety. The lady that advised me was superb, Sam gave me really valuable advice and suggestions. Planned on getting one, went out with 3 of them. Really great service from your staff. Well done Hanleys, and thank you Sam. I really enjoyed our interaction.
Fantastic customer service from Hanley's. I placed an order and unfortunately the items weren't in stock. I was informed in good time by Alex and a refund was issued very quickly. I would highly recommend.
If I could give no stars I would - just been to Christmas Shop in Frankfield with my wife , daughter and 2year old grand daughter and witnessed the most rude and obnoxious person in a shop -I think he must be the owner ( now been on internet and established he is called James Hanley and is the owner )because any business would have surely dismissed him already - I note that in 2023 someone says the same !
We selected a few items largely overpriced but it's a Christmas shop and you expect a bit of a mark up - my granddaughter loves areoplanes and there was a Christmas tree ornament with an aeroplane carrying a Xmas tree - she was so excited but in that moment of excitement managed to drop the plane and breaking it - obviously we would expect to pay for breakage but before we had chance to pick up the ornament the owner was straight over and without any empathy or customer service demanded we pay for it immediately -he stormed over to the till with the broken ornament and lectured the shop assistant to take payment - he was so rude /we went to till and the assistant was polite and embarrassed and we paid for all our goods including the few euros for the broken ornament which we replaced -
My wife went to speak with Mr Hanley to tell him how rude he was and he threatened to lock the doors if he ever saw her again approaching the shop .
Honestly it was such a horrible experience and Mr Scrooge ( Mr James Hanley ) the owner doesn't deserve to be in a Christmas shop - wrong attitude / no customer service and thoroughly unpleasant and unfriendly person -hard to imagine how long his chain is .....,
Extremely beyond rude staff. Over priced and whatever you do don't break anything as they will accuse you of being a liar..do not shop here!!!!
The owner of this shop is knowingly keeping axolotls in extremely poor condition. They are not being fed sufficiently, leading to them eating each other alive in the tank. Every one of them has wounds and missing limbs.
When confronted in March, the owner lied about rescuing that batch and wouldn’t be stocking again. This is one of many stories he has given to others who were concerned along with buying them from a “buddy”.
The water conditions are so poor that the animals gills are almost non existent. Following my initial complaint he added a sponge filter and a couple hides, making it look a little better. But the animals are in the exact same condition.
I have a community tank 54 litres with different species of tetra,I purchased 6 platy,s from Hanley,s , never again my tank got ich and had to be treated I got rid of the platy,s ,also the chap in the fish is a arrogant very bad manner stay away is my advice
I have never experienced such lack of empathy in your store before. I was in to buy a plack or two for my dad's months mine and was approached twice to say they were closing, which I was aware of but wanted to get the right placks , even as he could obviously see I was hurting emotionally he then told at 6.03 that he needed to go home to. I will never come back to your store which is really disappointing to me as it was always my favourite flower shop
Myself and my husband weren't sure which plant to buy! We meet Sam and she helped us find a plant and she was really really good with her knowledge about this particular plant that we had picked up! Very helpful will definitely visit this garden again! Sam is excellent- Louise

I made a recent purchase from Hanleys of an item which subsequently proved to be malfunctioning. I contacted them with a view to rectifying the matter, and in the end I was very happy with the efficient and pain free manner in which they dealt with the situation. I will be more than happy to deal with them again.
Obnoxious Owner
Hanley's garden store is lovely with an array of lovely items. However, the absolute arrogance of the owner is a real turn off. He totters around the seasonal shop with an imperious manner. I can't imagine he is any great help to the staff and any encounter I have had with him has left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Also had a brief word with more than one of the staff with a similar opinion. Rude, obnoxious and nasty. Time to retire sir, maybe spend your money to make yourself happy or totter around a golf course somewhere being obnoxious to people other than your customers.
Have purchased in store and the customer is always fantastic with a great selection, I love the Christmas village displays and they stock my favorite brand. Recently ordered online which was very easy and I also had great communication about delivery. The lady that delivered was extremely friendly. Excellent service with fast delivery. Would highly recommend, always a pleasure to deal with.
No after sales service from Hanleys - we bought a grey garden furniture lounge set from Hanleys and within 6 weeks of it being out on the patio the bottom cushions faded to nearly white. I have been onto Hanleys for the past year (loads of unanswered emails) and they will not replace the cushion covers. After paying nearly €2k for the lounge set, I don't think this should have happened and I am very disappointed with the after sales service received. I will not be doing business with Hanleys again.
