Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. People have expressed concerns regarding the company's handling of payments, with reports of unexpected charges, difficulties in withdrawing funds, and issues related to domain renewal. Several consumers report that their domains were put up for auction despite having already paid for renewal, leading to frustration and a sense of financial loss. Additionally, many reviewers report negative experiences with customer service, citing slow response times, unhelpful support staff, and unresolved issues. Some consumers report problems with the website, such as domains not going live, difficulties in transferring domains, and general glitches that disrupt their service. However, opinions on the products offered are mixed, with no strong consensus.

Cost me my Google #1 ranking after domain transfer

After transferring my domain to SAV, my website went offline and I lost my #1 Google ranking, which directly impacts enquiries and revenue.

I contacted support expecting clear, practical help to get the site back up quickly. Instead, I got vague replies like “the domain is pointing to your server provider” with no clear explanation of what had changed, what I needed to update, or a simple checklist to restore my website properly.

They also set my domain to “coming soon” nameservers by default, which was not made clear upfront and created extra disruption. Overall, the experience was stressful and the support was not actionable when time mattered.

I would not recommend SAV if you run a business site and need reliable, straightforward support during transfers.

Sav failed to renew and auctioned off my $5000 domain

I manage a portfolio of over 2,000 domains and have used many registrars over the years. My experience with Sav.com’s V2 system has been the worst I’ve encountered.

On January 20, 2026, while my domain EEA.net was still in the registrar’s grace period, I attempted to renew it through Sav’s official interface. Their checkout clearly showed the name in my cart for $12.12 and moved into a “We’re processing your order(s)” state. I took timestamped screenshots at the time.

The transaction never completed on Sav’s side, yet the dashboard continued to display “Renewal Grace Period,” making it reasonable to believe renewal was still possible.

Later, Sav claimed no backend record existed for that attempt and allowed the name to go to auction, where it was awarded to another bidder. When I contacted support before the auction ended, Sav acknowledged that their V2 dashboard displaying “Grace Renewal Period” may have been misleading, but still refused to intervene because only backend logs “count.”

This is not about forgetting to renew. It is about a registrar whose public interface allows a full renewal flow during grace, stalls in processing, shows misleading status labels, and then relies solely on internal logs to auction off a customer’s domain.

Since V2 rolled out, I’ve also experienced domains disappearing from my account and inconsistent renewal behavior, which is why I now screenshot everything at Sav.

I have filed a formal ICANN Contractual Compliance Complaint over this case. Other domain owners should be cautious using Sav’s V2 renewal system, especially if you see “processing” screens or unclear status labels.

Absolutely rubbish service. I had autorenew active on my domain, I received absolutly no notification from them (also checked my spam folder). And now my domain is expired and I have to pay $412 to get it back in an auction. If you buy a domain from them, make sure to immediately transfer it to other providers.

Lost domain name causing auto-renew…

Lost domain name causing auto-renew issued.
My all domain is under-auto renew function. But have no idea why last one cant. Im make sure about balance inside bank account.

Supporter haven't exp about their services. He said if my auto renew working it should be highlight. But he dont know when one domain expired. It not highlight. Just disable. But if Auto renew off mean Off not On without highlight.
After that my domain come to auction. And just the end of bid have just one other bid and i lose domain. So strange causing this domain is not HOT domain. So strange for everything i met.

Their version 2 is many issued. I tried to buy domains but always failed or processing and my take got deducted. They refunded but later...

Im so scare with sav. They not stable any more. I lost one 6 years old domain of my friend.

Very Slow or Ineffective Response to Phishing Reports

I’ve repeatedly reported phishing domains registered through Sav.com, providing clear evidence each time, yet their abuse team either responds extremely slowly or takes no meaningful action at all. This lack of responsiveness allows scammers to continue harming users for days or even weeks.

Such negligence not only puts internet users at risk but also damages Sav.com’s own reputation as a domain registrar. A responsible registrar should act quickly to disable domains used for fraud or phishing. Unfortunately, Sav.com’s abuse handling has been very disappointing.

Sav com is providing domain registration for a network of scam storefronts ".click"

Each of these websites is part of an organised international scam designed to impersonate real businesses, mislead consumers, and steal payment data.

These domains continue to operate freely.. and new ones are being registered again and again.

Despite numerous DMCA and abuse reports, Sav com has taken no action.

They are worthless and scammer

I need the auth code to transfer my domain, but I never receive the OTP required to get it. I requested to disable mobile authentication, but even after that, the system still asks for OTP. I've contacted SAV multiple times, and they claimed to escalate it to the dev team, but nothing has happened. They’ve stopped responding to my emails. Because of this delay, I lost a sale and now have 3 expired domains I can’t renew. I'm completely stuck. Even today, I tried again still no OTP.
