Review of giftbasketstore.com
I live in England and ordered a gift basket to be delivered to my 93 year old father in California. I thought it would be hard to pay for it, but it wasn't, Paypal worked well.
Also, my fault but I gave the wrong address but right zip code and I got a call from Customer Service to try and put it right and deliver the basket by Christmas Eve. Guess what?! It worked and the basket arrived, along with a lovely doggy treat for his houseguard dog. Immaculate customer service and I can't thank you enough!
Review of ZARA
What has happened to Zara UK clothes?
Embarrassingly poor quality. I would have always bought clothes for my family as a Christmas gift before but I would be ashamed to give them pretty much anything from the Winter 2025 range. I would rather buy 3 things of the same quality from Shein ...

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS
What an exceptionally lovely Christmas gift purchasing experience NOT!
I have paid £50 for what I was told would be the '4 Seasons London Christmas venue scent' for my partner, who has terminal cancer who wanted to have the scent in his room.
All I got was a little bottle of a 'free' add on oil and no sign of the essential oil I paid for. What an insulting joke.
Review of Thurrock Council
This council's room hire service at Thurrock Library is an absolute joke. We paid a week before using the room, sent 5 emails confirming payment and now, just before Christmas are being threatened with legal action. Honestly, don't book them, use a local community room instead.

Review of TK Maxx UK
Oh dear, what a shambles. Tried to return my on line purchase today and to be fair to the staff there were a few challenges as my parcel did not contain the delivery slip or details.
The lovely girl on my till really tried hard but had only worked there for a week.
She had to deal with an unsupportive colleague on a headset and a REALLY RUDE supervisor. This guy seemed to think he was Elvis, but in fact, despite the greasy hair and curled lip, he was just rude, unsupportive and an idiot.
Honestly TK Maxx Worthing remove him. He was frankly unhelpful, arrogant and no help at all.

Utterly useless! I have been a customer for 22 years GOD HELP ME and 02 have been systematically rinsing me for everything they can.
Overseas charges
Upgrades which are cheaper elsewhere
and the final straw!! Charging me £10 a month for 24 months for handset insurance when I WAS NOT EVEN COVERED.
Will they refund?? I have been trying for TEN MONTHS
Review of Dusk
Finally got refunded for the appallingly flimsy bed.
Dusk tried to give me a voucher for more products rather than a refund (yeah right like I want another horrible product)
but finally after refusing that ridiculous offer I was refunded back my original payment for the awful bedrame to PayPal.
So I am revising my review from awful to 'pretty good actually'
Review of Canon UK&I
Totally agree with everything said about these printers being poor. I work from home and all I wanted was a small home printer with feeder scanner and decent cartridge use. DO NOT EVER BUY this evil litle printer and spend hours pouring over the ADF / Scanner misfunction as I have. Its enough to send anyone over the edge. I bought mine from Ryman and am taking it back.

Just don't unless you have an expensive and gritty accountant or you have read the R & D rules from HMRC very carefully and know you are entitled to the tax relief.
I got stiffed for £3000 which I had to pay back to HMRC because Matt and his team didn't advise me or back me up.
They claim to be experts but they aren't.
Review of Trainline
Be vigilant about small print clauses and always claim refunds
Keep your tickets because bizarrely Trainline sometimes ask you to post them to their office in Edinburgh (yep all the tickets, not the receipts nor proof of purchase)
If you are likely to have your whole trip disrupted or cancelled by a long delay, take out the optional insurance with them. I really hate paying money for travel insurance but you only need it you need it, right?
Overall an OK system and it does save money with split tickets but having to collect a physical ticket from a machine, in say Victoria, in rush hour is enough to make you throw the towel in. However, if you get on the train and you haven't collected your series of tickets, most revenue officers will print the full set for you.
So, biggest tip is: if you don't care about losing part of your journey to a delay or cancellation and its not that much money, don't take out insurance.
If you DO care about losing a long journey (eg from London to Scotland for a wedding) take out insurance for the trip via the app

Still no recourse from them despite telling them their shameful service cost my small company nearly £3000.
They don't know what they are doing and avoid helping when it all goes wrong
Review of Southern Water
I had an agent Southern Water - Neil Harms visit my property in Storrington yesterday.
Not only did he wake me up after an all night volunteering service (he remarked on all the closed curtains at 11.25 am and still woke me up) but then, once let into my property he ran my kitchen cold water tap for more than an hour and did not collect any of the waste to use on my garden despite the impending hosepipe ban.
I would have liked to have been given a format for this unscheduled visit, such as
the tests he was planning,
How much water he planned to use at my expense,
What recourse I had to Southern Warer and why he didn't show me the Keeping the Water Safe card before he woke me up and wasted my water.
Review of Trainline
Its not clear sometimes when you buy tickets in advance that you have to go to a ticket machine to collect them. As a disabled person this often doesn't work in regional stations.
Also for some of the split and save refunds you have to post your physical tickets to get a refund. Again annoying and outdated when all the purchase transactions were automated.
Review of Sunbrightpharma
I've sued them through the UK small claims court but because they are lying about their UK address in Swansea no papers can be served on them.
I was due £500, for my original payment of £250 plus on line money claims costs etc. Don't even bother to think you will be able to recover your costs if you sue them as they are using a small cafe in Wales as their head office :-(
Review of Skin Rocks
I made the mistake of signing up for a loyalty discount code, hadn't been to buy anything yet and have been bombarded by one email a day. I would love to buy something when ready but I feel really pressured by these daily messages

how can i reply to your email when it is not in my inbox or spam??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are no emails coming to my account because, after the 10th time of advising, the account is blocked and I cannot get in as your company is not sending a password reset to my registered account!
Now I realise your company is Bulgarian, and you only use the details below to lure people into believing you have a call centre but its either engaged or cuts off after one call.
