Fantastic customer service

I decided to get a refurbished PS5 from Raylo after weighing up the pros and cons of buying outright etc. The console arrived the following day and I set it up. Unfortunately the controller supplied had a fault and couldn't be used however Raylo (specifically Bradley) offered superb customer service and sent me a voucher to purchase a replacement controller! Really happy so far.

Argos is always superb!

Im 41 and have been using Argos since I was a teenager! Argos is always superb, every time I use them it's flawless. I usually order everything from Amazon but I realised I can get stuff the same day when I use Argos without the inflated prime delivery prices!

I recently purchased an Orient Mako 2 watch from TUS watches for my 41st birthday and the service was fantastic. The watch is beautiful and was a great price, the delivery was really quick and the packaging was good too. Overall a great experience buying from TUS watches and I'll be back again!

Say goodbye to 4 week tank cycling, the future is here!

After reading reviews I ordered 2 x 250l pouches of the fantastic Nitrico Goop for a new tank containing 25 African mbuna cichlids. I was able to pick a specific delivery date and before purchase I emailed Jack a million times who was really helpful answering every question I had in detail. It's now been a week and the tank is happy and healthy with no water quality issues, every day I've done tests and the water is bang on perfect every time not to mention it's crystal clear.

What an innovative product, whoever thought of this should win a Nobel prize! Fantastic service, I'll certainly be using again 👌

Dissatisfied, disappointed, mis-sold

After vigorously researching the best Welsh parks to stay at in 2023, we decided to book with Away resorts Barmouth bay. 12 months and many reviews read later we arrived on the 6th August and were instantly disappointed. We booked the comfort van after reviewing the specs and looking at the images provided on the website believing it would suit our needs. We were welcomed with a claustrophobic, old and grotty van (number 170) that was absolutely nothing like the van we were sold and welcomed with when we logged into our customer portal. I immediately went to reception to ask if any upgrades were available, and understandably as it was the 6 week holidays there were none available, no one enquired as to why we wanted an upgrade though.

Our hob only had 3 rings working. After reporting the fault on the app, fair enough an electrician came round first thing the next day. He took a look and said he would be back once the hob had cooled down but never did, no one from guest services followed up to make sure it had been sorted. There was lipstick on the glasses, a hole in the roof and mold on the walls.

Apart from us feeling absolutely robbed how is this not mis-selling? if there is a chance the van we may be allocated is massively different to the ones shown on the website and the van shown to us when we logged into our customer portal, why are these images not also shown on the website?

Onto the luxuriously heated swimming pool. It is tiny, dangerously busy at times, not at all heated and once again nothing like the sales script leads you to believe. There are no dedicated changing rooms or cubicles just an open plan room which meant me and my 7 year old had to change in the toilets literally straddling urine on the floor in order to gain some privacy.

The WiFi, again sold as site wide and usable. It is literally useless! even upon check in the first thing we were told by the advisor and even before being asked who we were was and I quote the WiFi is terrible, your phone signal will be better, if you think you'll be streaming movies then think again!

Next the entertainment passes that are included... Having entertainment passes advertised led us to believe we would be able to take advantage of the fantastic entertainment on offer.....well there isnt any. The only possible entertainment we could think of would be to visit The Sands complex which is a privately owned complex next door consisting of a hot dog stand, a bar that only the bravest would wander into with doormen included just to make you and your family feel extra safe, fish and chips shop, mini market and arcades. There certainly wasnt any Mr Tumble or Oasis tribute acts on whilst we were there.

Anyway onto a positive, Barmouth itself is beautiful and the beaches are stunning. There is plenty to do in the surrounding towns such as Porthmadog and the food on offer is really good, ISIS pizzeria and knickerbockers get a special mention

Woeful experience buying online with Halfords

Roll back to July 26th and I place an order online for a Carrera bike, 2 helmets, a bike trailer and a trail gator. On July 27th I also advised on live chat that I wanted to cancel the bike trailer, only to be told it's to late (this was the following morning after placing order on the evening) and I should reject the trailer when DPD attempt to deliver it. OK, pain in the rear but I can get over it.

The bike and trail gator arrived as it should of done on the expected date 2 days later however the trail gator was missing the seat post clamp and the box had been ripped open and also no helmets arrived.

So onto live chat I went to be told the helmets would arrive the following day and that to sort the missing part out of the trail gator I would have to take it to my nearest store (Lancaster 15 mins away).

Next day arrives so I reject the trailers attempted delivery and guess what, no helmets were delivered. So again onto live chat I go, to be told the helmets were actually out of stock and unavailable. This is now 4 days after placing my original order, I've still got a trail gator with parts missing, no helmets and my bike trailer order still hadn't been cancelled.

After another live chat conversation the very helpful Josh arranged for the Lancaster store to reserve another 2 helmets and also get another trail gator ready for when I arrived, he also arranged a 10% discount on the more expensive helmets which was appreciated.

So after visiting the store, I managed to get the issues sorted, bear in mind I had to go out of my own way to solve it. Now its TEN days after I ordered the bike trailer, and 8 days (I believe) after I rejected the delivery I still have not had confirmation of the order being cancelled nor have I received a refund!

Sorry Halfords but this is not good, OK Josh on live chat was helpful and arranged for my issues to be solved, but only if I visited the store! Come on, missing parts, helmets not arriving after being told twice they would and a returned item not even being acknowledged let alone refunded 9 days after placing the order!

Easily the worst company I've ever …

Easily the worst company I've ever dealt with. As a new business in need of a quick banking option I went with cashplus, I already knew how poor they were but didn't have a choice. WHAT a mistake, it's only been a week and already I'm having a nightmare. their online account system will never let me add a new payee. When I call them there is either a "system outage" and they literally just say nothing I can do goodbye or like this morning they cannot handle the incoming calls and cut their phone lines off!! For a professional company in the banking sector who handle other peoples money, not theirs, they are a disgrace. My business is already being stunted by these clowns and I would strongly recommend new business owners NOT to choose them to handle your money.

We’ve been experiencing some difficulties with a couple of 3rd party providers and I can only apologise. We’re aware of the issue which is preventing customers from adding new payees and we’re working hard to resolve it as soon as possible.
