tedious-malcontent:

i think we need to get weirder about demiromantic neil. make his relationship with andrew even weirder. fuck with the idea of what a romantic relationship is and can be and looks like. make it weird and hard or even impossible to understand and something that no one else could replicate because it’s built around who they are.

the thing about andreil is that they talk in riddles and convey meaning at frequencies only each other can understand. their conversations border on being literally incomprehensible to outsiders but they are always on the same page which is why they’re perfect for each other.

you can’t really take what they say to each other at face value a lot of the time, that’s just not how they communicate. they operate by unique social rules that they established with each other, that’s how they were able to trust each other so much and why their relationship is so noticeably special to everyone around them.

I think Andrew knew he was falling for Neil when Neil pulled out the phone at the fall banquet and said “I made another call”. In the text, he smiles really big after that. Andrew loves the story of Neil, how he claws his way from nothing and into someone who fights for what he wants, fights to stay. Andrew has felt that too, struggling to find a family that will stay with him. So that’s why he starts saying yes so much to Neil after that moment. Part of him is rooting for Neil to be happy.

aledethanlast:

Neil not telling Kevin and Andrew that he flew to LA is so fucking in character for him but we also gotta remember that Wymack knew where Neil went, because Jean called him from the Thai restaurant, and apparently said nothing.

Kevin can be a queen all he wants, his dad still remains the King of Not My Business.
