"Maria suddenly called out happily, and ran towards the darkness. It was almost as though Beatrice was somewhere in that darkness, and Maria was running up to her." Ink illustration of Maria running to embrace a figure in the darkness. The details of the figure can't be seen, but it appears the figure is the same person as the witch Beatrice hanging in the portrait above the figure.

"Who would feel shame at exposing their body to furniture?" Ink illustration featuring Battler, broken and striped down to the nude save for a dog collar, unbuttoning Beatrice's dress. Beatrice's expression reflects off the mirror, showing her confidence and smug expression over her power over her new piece of furniture.

Beatrice in the rose garden grants Maria a quiet death. I drew a rose because I thought the description described it as such, but looking at the screenshots I found online, I might have misread or misunderstood it? Whatever, death via blood coming out of a person's neck and turning into a rose is metal

Wanted to do some sketchbook ink illustrations & figured I'd do Umineko scenes from each ep that are stuck in my head

(I'm still playing through Ep 3 at the time of posting. It would be nice to do one of these ILs for each episode, but we'll see if the mood strikes me or not.)

In the third panel, Battler looks slightly flustered and smiles back with, "Well, it was just a wild guess."

this is one of the funniest pages i've seen from the umineko manga because in context it makes sense but out of context it really looks like they did the most basic arithmetic possible and then talked about how smart they are for it, topped off by battler saying that actually he had no real idea and was just guessing
