Height headcanons (in descending order)

Evan - 6'1-2 I will never fall for the Barty is taller than Evan propaganda

Dorcas - 6’+ I don’t know exactly how tall she is, all I know is she’s taller than Barty, maybe even taller than Evan, she’s just really tall and that’s all I care about

Barty - 5'9 basically dead on average height for the UK, he just doesn’t give me tall energy at all but he’s not short either, but i feel like he’s pretty comfortable in it

Regulus - 5'7 he is just barely taller than Pandora and it pisses him tf off, especially because Dorcas is so much taller than him, the Pantheon has picked up on how much it pisses him off they will never let him hear the end of it (Barty is only 2 inches taller than him but teases him the most)

Pandora - 5'6 she’s pretty tall for a girl, especially in the UK and she’s happy about that and she also doesn’t mind being the shortest in the friendgroup (Evan being so tall does irk her a little though as she was taller when they were kids)

I hold the belief that despite the Pantheon being the hottest friendgroup, they’re all actually just massive nerds and losers so I thought I’d put together a list of my headcanons for what all of them are nerdy about

Barty - Punk music, DC comics, black and white movies

• Barty in my head is and has always been a punk and not just the “rebellious teen punk” definition this fandom seems to have, he got Pandora to teach him how to sew so he could make a battle jacket and now makes all his clothes himself, the only form of dance he knows is slam dancing, he’s incredibly pretentious about the music (“real underground punk isn’t even on Spotify, you’ve got to go to local shows!” - his favourite band has been X-Ray Spex since he got into the genre) and he lives by the punk mindset/mentality religiously
• The comics thing was born out of a running joke in my fanfic in which he forced Evan to watch all 85 episodes of BTAS after he came out of rehab and then it just kind of became a thing, his favourite animated series is the ‘04 Batman one, his favourite character is Batman (yes he is one of those annoying ass Batman glazers, iykyk), his other favourite characters include Martian Manhunter and Donna Troy, he has an extensive comic collection, I also thought it was cute because his nickname is Bats
• I don’t know shit about B&W movies so I really can’t tell you much here but my Barty is a pretentious cinephile so he’s always talking about B&W movies, his favourite is 12 Angry Men, he doesn’t care if it’s super popular or not a niche pick, he stands on the opinion that it’s the best

Evan - Grunge music, Pokemon, romanticism art

• He worships the genre on his hands and knees, if you’ve seen my blog before you prob already know this, his favourite band is always STP in my head, he’s obviously into the big 4 because why wouldn’t you be, he also really likes Mudhoney and Green River, this bleeds into other 90s rock as well, he likes Jeff Buckley and Oasis, he started playing music because of STP
• This one’s sort of out of left field but modern era Evan definitely loves pokemon, his parents wouldn’t let him have a pet growing up so this was the closest alternative, his first game was either ruby or sapphire - you pick, his favourite type is poison and his type 3 pokemon are probably Gengar, Drapion and Salazzle, idk why they just suit him
• He loves The Desperate Man and The Fall, he’s a big yearner whether you want to acknowledge it or not, originally I had him down as renaissance art but he’d definitely be way more into romanticism, Pandora and he would go to art museums together and get stuck in very different places (she’d go to Baroque)

Regulus - True crime, gothic horror, LOTR

• Yes, I do know this is low hanging fruit but I’m picking it regardless, Regulus rarely listens to music it’s either true crime podcasts or audiobooks, Dorcas thinks he needs serious help, the rest of the Pantheon all sit with him and listen and nod like they’re in an academic socratic seminar
• He had an entire change of perspective the first time he read Frankenstein, like full body reaction to that book, his favourite is Wuthering Heights and he’s got a soft spot for The Picture of Dorian Gray, Barty makes some fun of him for it, Dorcas and Pandora love him for it
• I don’t know why I believe in this one so much but he fell in love with LOTR (and Tolkein in general) the second he got into it he was unable to be sucked out, he had to talk himself out of learning Sindarin, he’ll talk for hours to you about just how shit The Hobbit movies were, his favourite character is probably Samwise, there’s definitely implications from that one but you can look closer at that if you wish

Dorcas - Folklore, music theory, the titanic

• She’s constantly complaining about the inaccuracies of modern interpretations and adaptations of vampires because she knows everything about the Slavic folklore interpretation of vampires, she’s into all different type as well - she refuses to restrict herself from the vast world, her favourite creature is probably a Selkie (from Scottish folklore)
• In my fic, she’s the lead singer and guitarist and she writes all the music and will spend hours toiling over it in production, I read (or maybe watched, I don’t remember) it an interview that I’ve long forgotten the name of that Julian Casablancas of The Strokes would sit and listen to records for hours and just pick apart the songs as a teenager and I just know that was Dorcas’ favourite activity as a teen
• Don’t ask me why I believe this, I just do, it’s probably more broadly ship crashes in general but she specifically knows everything about the Titanic, Barty annoys the shit out of her by asking if the live lobsters in the tank in the Titanic would’ve escaped and lived happily (she’s told him they would’ve died due to temperature shock a million times)

Pandora - Lighthouses, Stephen King, fashon history

• Creepy lighthouses are her shit and she knows the stories behind all the ones around the UK, no one’s even sure how or why she attained that knowledge and they’re too scared to ask, her dream in life is to move into a lighthouse with a horrific past when she’s older
• Specifically the more horror side of Stephen King, I don’t think she’d care for books like The Long Walk or 11/22/63 but she can rant for hours about his peak coke phase books, Evan’s heard all about them, her favourite book is Cycle of the Werewolf (Carrie’s a very close second)
• You wanna hear about the radium girls? Or the effect of WWII on woman’s fashion? Or the history of codpieces? Or why woman plucked their hairlines for bigger foreheads in medieval times? Or the origins of scene fashion? Or how full raccoon coats were popular with American college students in the 20s? Or why men wore powdered wigs for so long? I couldn’t tell you but Pandora could do a ted talk on all of these topics

Only child Barty watching Pandora and Evan almost tear each other to shreds over some stupid argument, horrified despite the shit he’s seen, just for Regulus to come up next to him and nod solemnly “yup, I get them, Sirius threw me out a window when we were kids”

Would post abt the Pantheon’s bedtime/nighttime routines but I’m pretty sure that none of them sleep

Barty’s always too wound up to sleep, the idea of laying down, shutting his eyes and waiting for sleep will make him go insane. He’s staying up doing a million different things until he inevitably crashes at 4 in the morning, he’s watched 2 movies, gone out of his way to bake a cake (no one knew he could bake, they were previously afraid to allow him in the kitchen), he’s decided to take up cross stitch and blew his entire bank account on halfway crazed impulse buying. When he inevitably does crash it’s with a loud fan on, music playing and the TV on in the next room

Evan is just an insomniac, like lays in bed for hours and doesn’t get a wink of sleep. He got in bed at 11, he took a bath, he stopped looking at his phone 2 hours ago and he had sleepy time tea. He is wide awake at 3 in the morning and decides to just quit, he’ll either doomscroll or get up and either play guitar/bass for hours or he’ll just start his day at 3 in the morning. He’ll probably pass out for 20 minutes intermittently throughout the day, no one knows how he’s still alive

Regulus doesn’t sleep because he has better things to do, he’s microdosing caffeine throughout the entire night because bed time for him should be 9pm but he’s planning his next heist or maybe he’s just reading, who knows. Eventually he builds a crazy tolerance to caffeine and turns to other stimulants (whether that’s adderall or coke is up to you) because there’s not enough hours in the day and he will not waste his time on sleep

Dorcas tries to sleep, she’s an athlete and a theatre kid she needs to sleep well to perform well in her extra curriculars, but she’ll be laying there and all of a sudden remember that sweatshirt she hasn’t seen in six months, which turns into a search for it, which turns into cleaning her entire room, which turns into reorganizing her entire room, and holy shit the sun’s coming up-

Pandora just completely loses track of time, like she’ll start doing one of her crazy experiments at 4 in the afternoon and the next time she looks up at the clock all of a sudden it’s 1 am, and she’s already in the zone and already not gonna sleep well so she may as well just keep going. Also, I’m pretty sure she goes graverobbing for enrichment and that’s better done under the cover of darkness

Do y'all think Sirius does bed checks? Like just to make sure theres only one Black brother in that dorm? Pokes his head into James’ bed, shines his wand around then lets him sleep so long as he’s the only one in that bed

Alternatively do you think Barty and Evan do the exact same thing but are way more annoying about it? Like ripping the curtains open, ripping the blankets off Reg, both of them yelling like they’re the FBI doing a raid?

Js smth to think about

In an AU where Regulus runs away with Sirius and they’re on good terms throughout their schooling, Sirius is affronted the first time he sees his baby brother drinking at a party

Everybody thinks he’s joking because why is he talking like a Victorian nun about who’s “defiled” his brother, Regulus has never been more embarrassed in his life and is utterly betrayed as his friends go along with Sirius, and Sirius himself is promising to hex whoever did this for the next month

(It was Remus)

When it comes to “survival to the death” competitions, we all at first think of the hunger games and we all know Regulus would win that (cuz he actually fucking did), but I saw The Long Walk when it came out and that movie has haunted me ever since

So you know who I think would win TLW out of the Pantheon? Dorcas. And it’s not even a competition

Regulus would probably be like Stebbins, make it stupidly far out of pure spite and willpower but then he’d bow out. I think he’d realize somewhere along the way that he doesn’t want to have to live with the fallout of winning (we all saw just how well that went for him in crivers) but I think he’d also want to have his death on his own terms. He’ll do what Pete said he’d do, walk for a long fucking time then sit down when he’s done

Barty would be sort of like Collie, he’s not going down without trying to take down the entire competition with him and I know he wouldn’t let himself win. He’d get way too attached to everyone way too quickly and there’s no way he’ll watch his friends die, he’s taking himself out of the competition to give them a better chance at winning and he’s running at the soldiers while he does it

Evan, I honestly don’t know what Evan would be like, maybe like Ray? I think he’d have the mentality of Ray’s line “I can’t see it [the good], but you can, and that’s why I love you”, Evan’s not in this to make some big change in the world so the second he realized other people would he’d pull himself from the competition, he can’t see the good that he can do if he wins, so he’s going to let someone else win so they can do good

Pandora would be like Harkness, she’s coming in with the mentality that she’ll win, ready to come out of the walk and do something with what she experienced. I don’t think she’d write a book like he was planning to, but you get what I mean. I see her going down against her will, she is an incredibly determined character and I don’t think she’s the type of person to lay down and die, she’d probably get sick or injured like Harkness or Curly, I think she could win but I think Dorcas is more likely

Dorcas is one of the strongest characters in the marauders era both mentally and physically, I know she can outwalk all the other fuckers and she’s not gonna start losing it like Barkovitch (now that I’m thinking about it, Barty might be more like Barkovitch) or Olsen. And she has people she needs to get home to, my headcanon is she’s got a massive family. And she’s like Peter, she wants to do something good with her wish and the money she gets from the walk. She won’t let herself lay down and die and she has multiple different motivators to keep walking

I just know the Pantheon are clowning on the Marauders 24/7 (AU in which Sirius and Regulus have made up and now their friendgroups exist in a weird symbiotic relationship)

Barty and Dorcas go out of their way to make fun of them whenever they use their nicknames, because what the fuck is a “Prongs”??

James: Oi! Padfoot!

Dorcas and Barty, cringing but also trying (and failing) to hold back laughter: Get a load of this guy

(I also just know that Dorcas uses white people phrases - it started off ironic then slowly became unironic)

Evan and Barty go out of their way to mess with James the most, especially when it comes to Regulus. He’s also just the easiest to fuck with out of everyone, Sirius’ ego and god complex is way too big to allow anyone to get him down, Remus just doesn’t care and Peter doesn’t stick around long enough to listen to whatever they’re saying

Evan: So what? You’re into younger men?

Barty: Are you into Reg because Remus got to Sirius first?

Pandora and Regulus probably make fun of Sirius and James for their incredibly co-dependent relationship despite both of them having partners (even though Barty would start sweating if he had to pick between Evan and Regulus)

Evan and Barty “tattle” on Sirius to Regulus whenever they catch him and Remus together (it’s a shocking amount of times), telling Regulus all about how they caught Remus defiling his brother

Was having thoughts about what the Pantheon GC is like then started thinking about what kind of texters all of them are

Regulus texts like a parent, his part-time job is freaking out his friends by saying some ominous shit then not replying for 5 hours

Regulus: The doctor said there’s nothing they can do.

Barty: Uhm Reg????

Barty: Is there some debilitating terminal illness you need to share with us 👅

Barty: Regulus pls respond

(It was a headcold that would’ve gone away on it’s own in a few days)

Barty is the most obnoxious texter, I’m taking will quadruple text then quadruple text again if no responds to him. He uses a million emojis (most of which his friends didnt even know existed prior to him using them) and probably has hundreds of stickers that r just terrible photos of his friends. Regulus and Dorcas don’t understand his abbreviations

Evan is the driest texter ever. like “do you need some vaseline for those dry ass texts my liege?” If his texts contain more than three words either someone has died, hell has frozen over or he’s joining in with the rest of the GC to dog pile Regulus (he’s the friendgroup victim and you can’t convince me otherwise)

Dorcas just flat out doesn’t respond, that woman probably has a screen time of a good 6 hours and none of it is spent on messaging apps. The group has given up on making plans in the GC bc Dorcas won’t see them and won’t know what’s happening, they’re debating sending carrier pigeons to her house as an alternative. When she does respond it’s not exactly ominous parent texting but it is with perfect punctuation and grammar

Pandora has never sent a text in her life. She will not allow her wild soul to be corrupted by the evil, glowing box. She believes the wind will carry her sweet messages to her friends and if all else fails she will invent telepathic communication before chaining herself to the evils of the modern world. (All plans she’s involved in need to go through Evan)

(The GC is mostly just an echo chamber of Barty talking to himself)

Bridging off my “Barty is a cinephile” post, I think every Pantheon member (I will not call them the Slytherin Skittles my god) gets an art form to be obsessed with

Evan is a music guy

• He’s definitely into rock music, my headcanon is he really likes 90s stuff in specifics, and I know he’s the most insufferable prick about it (he’s got a superiority complex because he hates pop music)
• You ever see those posts thats like “when you tell a Radiohead fan your favourite song is ‘Creep’ and not an unreleased MP3 file of Thom Yorke moaning in a basement for 20 minutes”? That’s Evan. They’re talking about him. He’s that pretentious
• I also really like the idea of him being super pretentious and going on about super underground bands then his favourite bands are Stone Temple Pilots and Fontaines DC, like… okay honey
• He’s a slut for physical media, I know his CD and vinyl collection is absolutely insane (he probably buys original issues off EBay and Depop for bragging rights)
• He’s a rich guy and all of that money went into music stuff, he has multiple crates full of CDs and vinyls and he has more that don’t fit in the crates
• And he plays bass (mostly because I play bass but I digress) and he’s pretentious about that one too, Dorcas once called his bass a guitar and he genuinely lost it and yapped about the differences for 30 minutes (she fell asleep)
• He makes mixtapes and gives them to friends as presents

Regulus is a book guy

• Look, I know I’m unoriginal and basic but you can’t tell me he doesn’t read Oscar Wilde books like the Bible
• Has a library, Grimmauld place had one installed simply because if you let him loose in any shopping area he’s going home with a crate full of books
• He’s one of the readers that takes a million years to get through a singular page because he annotates like it’s rocket science, I’m talking colour coded tabs, pens, everything is done with a ruler because he’ll crash out if lines aren’t straight
• He’d hate Booktok, I just know his ass is complaining about it on the DAILY
• Imo, his favourite book is probably Frankenstein (basic ass pick I know) because he relates to it, but his favourite genre overall is those massive, russian philosophy books (eg. The Brothers Karamazov and Anna Karenina)
• I know he’s also an audiobook warrior, if he’s doing any task he’s got an audiobook on in the background, he probably doesn’t even have Spotify, he’s got Audible and that’s all he needs
• Also, even though he has his own library and is a book buyer I know his ass loves the public library

Dorcas is a theatre girl

• Genuine definition of theatre kid, I don’t care how many fics depict her as this cool sporty girl, she will always be the theatre loser that bursts into song any time she hears a trigger word
• She’s into plays and musicals, she does not discriminate, she will do either completely willingly
• She was probably one of those theatre kids that took vocal rest incredibly seriously, like carries around a whiteboard to write on even if she’s only in ensemble
• Her dream role for a play is Margot Wendice in Dial M for Murder and her dream role for a musical is Shakespeare in Something Rotten
• Whenever the Pantheon goes out for karaoke (Pandora, Barty and Dorcas drag Evan and Regulus out), she’ll get drunk and try to sing her way through the entire Hamilton soundtrack, Barty will probably back her up, so will Evan and Pandora, Regulus definitely refuses

Pandora is an art girly

• Can’t decide if she’d be a painter and have a sort of renaissance style or if she’d be into sculpting, ceramics or collages and get really into like body horror and super abstract
• I just know her favourite childhood hobby was going to museums specifically to look at the art, like her parents and brother needed to drag her out of there kicking and screaming or she’d spend 14 hours just marvelling
• She has her own art studio in her house (it was originally a walk in closet) and it’s filled to the brim with art supplies the other Pantheon members didn’t even know existed
• She will lock herself away in her art studio for hours and come out after getting absolutely nothing done or she will have absolutely cooked and she’ll come out with a literal masterpiece
• She sends Dorcas links to different artists and even though she knows Dorcas doesn’t really care she’s still so excited because she just has to show it to someone
• She’s normally so calm but her art will turn her into the biggest crashout in history if it doesn’t go the way she wants it to
