Overview
[edit]Sub Base is a Search & Destroy map.
Story
[edit]It sets at a secret compound on a remote island. It currently houses the "Igis" nuclear submarine within its submarine pen.[1]

[edit]CFS: The map received improved textures quality on October 2016, alongside other main competitive maps(Ankara, Black Widow, Mexico, Port and Sub Base).
New Sub Base:New Sub Base is the visually upgraded version of the Search & Destroy map, Sub Base. It's located at a compound currently housing a nuclear submarine at its dock. This version of the map features few layout changes while also having more outdoors areas in general.[2]During CFPL S20, the organizers introduced this map as a replacement for Sub Base-CFS. However, due to its low pick rate, the map was subsequently removed in CFPL S23, with Sub Base-CFS reinstated as the official competitive map.
Figure 1 is the Machine Room of Sub Base-CFS, Figure 2 is Site A of New Sub Base, and Figure 3 shows top views of the two maps.
CFM
[edit]Sub Base was first added in January 2017. Like other maps, Sub Base also has many reset versions. The main ones are Summer Sub Base, Sub Base-HD and New Sub Base. Among them, Summer Sub Base was launched in July 2017[3] and remade in June 2024. Currently (as of July 2025), the main one used in the competition is New Sub Base, which was launched in April 2023[4]. Its layout changes are similar to those of the PC game New Sub Base.
CFHD
[edit]Sub Base was launched during the public beta test of CFHD. Compared with the Sub Base of CF, it presents a style that leans towards "desert"[5]. The biggest difference lies in the layout of Site A. After the C4 explosion, the layout of Site A will be greatly changed (as shown in Figures 4 and 5), and a new path to enter this site will be added (as shown in Figure 6)[6].
