Biography
[edit]Dota
[edit]Hampus "Mini" Olsson made his name in Dota with an all-Swedish squad, consisting of among others Wagamama, smulgullig and panterspot, who were picked up by "Druidz" in early 2010.[1] In a scene where teams jumped from sponsors on a monthly basis, the Druidz squad stayed with their sponsor for more than one and a half years before they finally parted in September 2011.[2] The squad took the name "Emocore" (EMC) and went looking for a sponsor as they transitioned into Dota 2 during Autumn 2011.[2]
Dota 2
[edit]Emocore's search for a sponsor was concluded in December, as Infused picked them up on December 21st, 2011, the squad consisting of Wagamama, Mini, Reesion, EGM aka Doney and Fishbone. On September 12th, 2012 after almost a year the team left Infused and became known as Skånes Elit[3] until they were picked up by Pulse eSports[4] on October 18th, 2012. After a short sponsorship run with Pulse eSports the team disbanded.[5]
Shortly after Mini tried out and was accepted onto Team QPAD Red Pandas[6], which consisted of former teammate Wagamama, well known Dota 2 streamer and pro player SingSing, and former SC2 pro player SeleCT. Mini played with them for a few months and was even the in-game leader of the squad. However he left in May 2013, citing low team morale, lack of communication and lack of progress as reasons, but stated that he would continue to play professional Dota elsewhere.[7]
After being teamless for little under a month Mini stood in for Lions Pride during DreamHack Summer 2013 since the team's normal captain, Jason "Fun" Teodosio, could not attend the event. Mini took the role as captain for the team and under his leadership the team played close games with mousesports and Team Liquid, but ultimately ended up being knocked out in the group stage. Shortly after the tournament the organisation decided to part ways with Fun and have Mini replace him as the captain of the squad.[8] After the Lions Pride organisation decided to drop out of professional esports the team changed name to Team Life.[9]
In August 2013 Mini left Team Life due to personal reasons.[10]
