Biography

[edit]

YYF grew up in Shanghai in China. From he was little he had always been pretty good at games. Within his circle of friends he was always the best at it. And since then gaming became his hobby.
He played a variety of games like Red Alert, Age of Empires, Starcraft, Counterstrike, Warcraft and Dota.
After he turned 18, he was playing a lot of ORC 3C (a Warcraft 3 lane mod sort of similar to Dota). And at the time he would practice with his teammates every night. They won quite a few competitions and in the scene he built a small reputation for himself and gradually became recognized by players as the number one in ORC 3C.

In late early 2010 he was asked by 2009 if he was interested in playing professionally. At the time he was working at a gas station. After considering the offer YYF decided to quit his job at the gas station and join 2009 in LGD.[1]

Originally a member of LGD Gaming, YYF was recruited by Invictus Gaming in August 2011 along with his teammates ChuaN, 830 and ch, where they formed the line-up iG.Y.[2] In November 2011, iG.Y and iG.Z merged into a single roster comprised of YYF, ChuaN, Faith, Ferrari 430 and Zhou. Invictus Gaming was invited in The International 2012, where they achieved a nearly flawless 13-1 record in the group stage and defeated Evil Geniuses in the playoffs first round, only to be sent into the loser's bracket by the reigning champion Natus Vincere. The roster nonetheless made it to the grand finals at the expense of EHOME, Team DK and LGD Gaming, and ultimately defeated Natus Vincere in order to secure the $1,000,000 champion's prize. On July 24th, 2014, YYF announced his reitrement on his Weibo.[3]
