Biography

[edit]

Early career

[edit]

Xibbe was a former Heroes of Newerth player, playing alongside players such as Insania back in 2017.[1] He eventually transitioned over to Dota 2, playing in smaller European teams. In 2019, he moved to the all-Swede team The Final Tribe (eventually becoming Godsent), replacing jonassomfan, continuing to work his way up the scene, although achieving little success.

He later left Godsent and joined OG Seed in November 2019, OG's secondary team. OG Seed achieved some notable successes, such as second at DOTA Summit 12, but his time with OG Seed was cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic, with OG releasing the roster. He then joined 5men, an all-Scandinavian team, achieving second in OMEGA League: Europe Divine Division, and mid-table results elsewhere.

Dota Pro Circuit

[edit]

With the return of the Dota Pro Circuit in 2021, Xibbe joined High Coast Esports in the European Upper Division, placing last in the stacked region, then moved to Chicken Fighters. Chicken Fighters finished 7th in Season 2, causing them to be relegated. A 5th-6th place finish in Pinnacle Cup, however, cushioned the blow, and they successfully qualified to the Dota Pro Circuit once again the next Tour.

After establishing themselves in Division II, they were signed by Into The Breach, where they managed to secure promotion in Tour 3. The team also made an unexpectedly-strong run in the The International 2022: Western Europe Qualifier, eliminating goonsquad in Division I, but ultimately fell to Team Secret, missing out on a spot to qualify to the Last Chance Qualifier to The International 2022. The next season, teammate Ari was poached by TSM, and the team struggled, finishing seventh. The team then underwent multiple roster shuffles, something Xibbe cites as being very stressful and he was ready to quit.[1]

Team Tea and AVULUS

[edit]

With the end to the Dota Pro Circuit in 2023, he joined Rest Farmers as they attempted to qualify to multiple LANs. They were successful in qualifying to Elite League Season 1, but the team was outclassed at the tournament, finishing joint-last. He then found himself replaced by StoneBank just before the roster was signed to Twisted Minds.

He then joined Team Tea, which began to show much promise in the Tier 3 scene. Xibbe looked far more stable in this roster, which secured first in CCT Series 1, beating Twisted Minds in the Grand Final, giving Xibbe a form of revenge. Team Tea then secured first in CyberScore Cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over Vrooomy.io, first in RES Regional Series Europe #3, beating Dandelions 2-1, and third in CCT Series 2, losing to L1GA TEAM.

This established the roster as a firm dark horse in the region, continuing to do extremely well in the Tier 3 scene, and also qualifying to PGL Wallachia Season 2, where they eventually finished a respectable 7th-8th for the team's first major tournament. They then secured first at RES Regional Champions, claiming the scalp of PARIVISION with a 2-0 win. The team also qualified for ESL One Bangkok 2024, placing 5th-6th in the organisation's strongest placement yet.
