Alexandre "AK" Laverez is a Filipino Fighting Games player.
Biography
[edit]AK first played Tekken Tag Tournament from the age of 6 when his uncle brought him to the local mall. He eventually entered his first tournament for Tekken 6 in 2009 and eventually shot to fame during his time with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 by taking 3rd place at the 2013 King of Iron Fist Global Championship, where he defeated many of the best players in the world at only thirteen years old.[1]
He has since continued to compete professionally into Tekken 7, showing consistency throughout its lifespan with runner up finishes at the WEGL Super Fight Invitational, EVO Japan 2019, and the Tekken World Tour Finals Last Chance Qualifier in 2019 and 2023. AK's hard work culminated in 2024, following the release of Tekken 8, after he took his first international Major victory at Combo Breaker 2024 with wins over Rangchu, Farzeen and Arslan Ash in the Top 8 alone.
