The Capcom Cup is the annual culmination of the Capcom Pro Tour, being primarily focused on the Street Fighter series.
The first Capcom Cup edition was held in 2013, featuring Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Version 2012, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and Street Fighter X Tekken Version 2013 as the three main games.[1] In 2014, Capcom created an Ultra Street Fighter IV circuit known as the Capcom Pro Tour, featuring a point system consisting of different tiers of tournaments.[2] The circuit has continued to focus on the Street Fighter series since then, gradually expanding over the years to accomodate more regions and types of qualifying events.
