Biography
[edit]A native of Honolulu, Dyrus became involved in League of Legends during its beta, beginning as the support player for a team known as All or Nothing before rising to stardom as a top-laner for first Epik Gamer and then Team SoloMid. One of the most recognizable League pro gamers, he retired in October 2015 following the LoL Season 5 World Championships to become a streamer for TSM having won three NA LCS titles, two IPL titles and an IEM World Championship with the team.
Overwatch
[edit]Dyrus became involved with Overwatch during the closed beta along with TSM League teammates including Bryan Wyllie (TheOddOne) and Søren Bjerg (Bjergsen) and was featured in official streamer showcase matches including Bjergsen, Trump, Huk, ItMeJP and more. In 2016, he participated in Agents Rising with Winky Face (TSM had not yet entered Overwatch), his first LAN event in any game in almost half a year.
Trivia
[edit]- Was voted by LoL fans twice to be part of the North American League of Legends All Stars, including once after his retirement.
- His favorite League champion is Singed. Other preferred/famous champions of his include Jax, Rumble and Irelia.
- He nearly burnt down the TSM League house twice due to misusing the microwave.
- His ancestry is half Chinese.
- He has a WCG gold medal, having won the League tournament in 2011 with Chicks Dig ELO, an American team composed of players from Epik Gamer, Team SoloMid and Counter Logic Gaming.
- The other games he has streamed include DotA 2 and Hearthstone.
- At the time of his retirement from competitive League, he was one of only two players to have participated in every League of Legends World Championship to that point, with the other being Bora Kim (YellowStar) of Against All Authority, SK Gaming and Fnatic.
- He represented TSM in Road to the Cup, a special anime short by Riot and Studio Mir (Avatar: The Last Airbender & The Legend of Korra) promoting the League Season 3 World Championships, in which he was empowered with Jayce's hammer and abilities.[1]
