Michigan State Esports is the varsity esports team representing Michigan State University, based in East Lansing, Michigan.

Class of 2028 Recruiting Class

Ahead of its second year of varsity competition, Michigan State Esports signed three high-profile recruits. Local Michigan powerhouse and the #1 recruit of their class, Onin, signed with MSU ahead of their achievement of #21 on the LumiRank global mid-year rankings. Fair, then Rank #6 on the Kentucky Power Rankings, signed with the Spartans on 6/20/2024. Shortly after, Honduras' most dominant player post-lockdown, Echofire signed as the first international recruit. Echofire joined Arkdee as the second power-ranked Latin American player to compete on the varsity roster.

In its inaugural year, Michigan State Esports recruited both local and out-of-state players. Colorado's rydra, then #1, was recruited as the first varsity commit to the varsity esports program. Shortly after, local Michigan player Drewish was recruited as well. Two additional incoming freshman, Aster and Zammo joined the team as walk-ons.
