Air Force ACE (Airforce Challenge E-sports) was a Brood War professional team introduced to StarCraft II through the hybrid 2011-2012 Proleague Season 2 in May 2012.

Overview

Korean progamers used to have the option of enrolling in the Air Force during their mandatory 2-year military service in South Korea. Air Force ACE was created as a progaming team to facilitate their StarCraft practice in the military environment. While there used to be an application process that progamers had to undergo to be selected for the program the team no longer accepts new members.

While the team was a longtime member of Proleague, they no longer participate in it, being replaced by EG-Liquid.

2012

  • May 17, Air Force ACE enters the hybrid 2011-2012 Proleague Season 2.
  • July 23, ACE is no longer accepting new members.[1]
  • August 1, StarDust is discharged from service and is removed from the team roster.[2]
  • September 9, firebathero is discharged from service and is removed from the team roster.
  • December 23, Iris leaves the team to become a coach for AZUBU.[3]
