Richard "FeaR" Au (born December 20, 1999) is a German Protoss player who last played for Alien Esports.

Heart of the Swarm

FeaR started Heart of the Swarm of successful by quickly reaching Grandmaster, and being part of ESC Gaming. He quickly gained a following, also influenced by his young age and vibrant personality.

FeaR has made a lot of great online results, including many deep runs in monthly cups. At the begin of 2014 he announced his departure with ESC Gaming and joined ECVisualize where he was able to have a lot of strong performances.

His online results got better, most note-worthy being one round away from qualifying for Who's The Best European. He also made some strong performances in team leagues, for example taking out both Kas and Hanfy in the SC2Improve Team League.

Together with ECVisualize FeaR also started to attend events in the Benelux, where he was able to put on some solid peformances. He was able to get 4th place at both the biggest event in Belgium, Frag-o-Matic, and the biggest lan event in the Netherlands, The Party.

Later in 2014 he was able to play at The Reality, one of the bigger events in the Netherlands. Here he was able to put up a strong performance defeating players such as Jona, JackO, JayPower and more. To then lose in the finals against uThermal.
