Peter "Lucoda" Healy (born September 7, 1997) is a retired Irish Zerg player who last played for London Conspiracy.

Wings of Liberty

[edit]

Although starting the game quite late, Lucoda managed to get picked up by LBNT in September 2012. He played in a lot of their tournaments and when they decided to make a gaming team, Lucoda was the first player they asked. He performed very well in all of their clan wars, often beating players that were a lot higher ranked than him.

After LBNT disbanded in early 2013, Lucoda headed into Heart of the Swarm as a teamless player.

Heart of the Swarm

[edit]

Lucoda was picked up by Karnage eSports to play in their academy roster shortly after the release of Heart of the Swarm. After the academy of Karnage eSports split up in July 2013, Lucoda was picked up by Pulse Esports on August 16, 2013. This motivated Lucoda to play more and more and he started to perform a lot better in online cups around this stage. Pulse merged with Love Your Girlfriend in mid September. Since then, Lucoda has been playing as part of their Academy roster.

Towards the end of 2013, Lucoda started making a mark in the scene in small ways. In the n00b c0n 2013 1,000 euro winner takes all tournament, Lucoda came fifth. This tournament included players like ABomB, Krass, Serral, Protosser, Elfi and many more. 2014 was looking to be a good year for Lucoda at the rate he was improving.

In December 2013, Lucoda participated in the EQ Cup Season 2, hosted by n00bGaming. This was a month long league where players searched and got their games themselves at their leisure throughout the month. The top seven received prizes. Lucoda came fourth in the league, winning $75.

Shortly afterwards, Lucoda qualified for the finals of the Tt eSports Weekend Cup where he came third falling to, the winner of the cup, Lobo.

On the March 16, 2014, Team Love Your Girlfriend disbanded meaning that Lucoda was a free agent. Lucoda was then picked up by London Conspiracy later that month.

On the June 20, 2014, Lucoda participated in Q-Con XXI Starcraft 2, his first LAN tournament. Q-Con is a LAN hosted in Belfast, Ireland with mainly Northern Irish and Irish players participating. Lucoda went through the tournament to the finals only dropping one map. Unfortunately, he fell to Mix in the grand finals 4-0 to take second place at Q-Con.

Later that summer, Lucoda traveled to Coventry in the UK to participate in Insomnia52. Lucoda got to the Round of 8 in the Winners bracket, and then was knocked out of the tournament in his first game of the losers bracket.

After Insomnia, Lucoda decided to take a break from Starcraft for a while and returned in the summer of 2015 as a free agent.

Lucoda's Coaching Corner

[edit]

Lucoda has always enjoyed giving back to the community. In addition to random coaching give-aways on Twitter, Lucoda also runs a bi-monthly educational series for Zergs called Lucoda's Coaching Corner which allows a randomly-selected fan to receive a free lesson from Lucoda on a topic of the player's choice. These videos are then edited and finally uploaded to YouTube for the community's benefit. In his own words,
