Alexandre "Makoz" Schilling is a former Zerg professional player from France and currently shoutcaster.
Biography
[edit]Makoz started his career in 2003 as a semi professional player on Counter Strike. He then moved on to Warcraft III for a few years. In 2007 he joins WebOne, then LgR, the later will become Team aAa. It is that very team that discovered and recruited future StarCraft II superstar Stephano. In November 2008 he joined Millenium and leaves in 2010 to return to Team aAa.
Beta
[edit]During the beta, Makoz becomes the Captain of team aAa with a strong French line up of former Brood Ward players and WoW players: Bensen, SarenS, KenZy, Qwerty, Seaw and Ninja.
Wings of Liberty
[edit]Due to health reason, Makoz quits aAa during the course of 2010. But the game is stronger and he joins Cyber Nation in September 2010, joining Monster, Qwerty and Didzz.[1] Health problem persist and he is forced to retire once again end of 2010. Continuing laddering away from competition. Beginning of 2011, he returns to team aAa, alongside Zerg polish player Nerchio [2]
Desptite good performances in Zotac, Go4SC2 and CraftCup, where he faced top European players such as MaNa and Kas. His health prevents him from being consistent and at EPS.FR 2011, despite beating the like of Adelscott 2-0, Laukyo 2-0 he is forced to retire of the competition on his way to the final phase.
Makoz decides to hold his professional career in March 2011 after the Maxlan event where he lost to future winner LaLuSh.[3][4]
For a year makOz will only train ladder to maintain his level and completely stop competition.
Feeling better at the beginning of 2012, he joins semi-pro team Extensive, with a line up consisting of Monster, Syde, Master and MiNiMaTh. He wins 2 UTTarena and participates to numerous tournaments. Finally opting to turn full-time to shoutcasting aspect of StarCraft II, a task that he undertook from time to time since 2010 as a casual, he makes the transition in April 2012.
Shoutcast
[edit]Makoz first grasp on casting was in 2010 with team aAa, with the launch of VOD targeting the community and offering detailed technical analysis.
He joins Eclypsia in April 2012 and becomes a shoutcaster full-time.,[5] however, judging that his work wasn’t credited enough, he leaves Eclypsia in June 2012 to join Sparte Legion as the principal caster, rejoining long time friends Qwerty, the then team manager, Origine, Eeel and FremAN.[6]
At Sparte Legion, Makoz launches a popular YouTube channel and immediately impact the French community with technical VOD and casting.
During summer 2012, Makoz is seen casting MLG Summer and IEM Cologne along with Pomf et Thud, Anoss and YoGo.
In 2013, he left aAa and created his webtv on Eclypsia website.
