Overview

[edit]

Team ALT is the competitive division of ALT StarCraft, hosts of the bi-monthly AGL Invitationals. ALT StarCraft is one of the front runners in a revolutionary approach to eSports organizations by not only scouting, cultivating, and marketing up and coming NA talent, but bringing competitive and spectator opportunities to the community. These come in the form of the ALT Show match series, AGL bi-monthly qualifiers, and in-house casting. There are future plans that include live AGL LAN events, a professional Gaming House, and expansions into other gaming markets such as:

  • DOTA 2
  • Halo 4
  • League of Legends
  • Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

History

[edit]

everFrag which later joined Team ALT was formed back in September of 2011 under the banner Prodigy Gaming. The team performed exceptionally well in NASTL Qualifiers nearly defeating Quantic. The Team later joined everFrag eSports after issues with leadership at Prodigy Gaming. During the teams time with everFrag the team won several Z33K Team Series and began to make a name for themselves in the community. After resources ran out at everFrag eSports the SC2 division sought sponsorship elsewhere and came across ALT Starcraft. The everFrag roster later merged with the existing Team ALT on April 30th 2012. The original Team ALT was formed in November of 2011. The team is now run by Steve "Freedom" Rush who created the original Prodigy Gaming team. Micheal "Bonk" Egolf was later announced Team Captain and began his journey as a leader in the ALT Starcraft Community.
