Ian "Zion" Gryncewicz (born October 14, 1987) is a retired Belgian Zerg player who last played for LowLandLions.
Biography
[edit]Under the ID zionman, Ian played StarCraft: Brood War with several well-known clans and even organised a showmatch between top Brood War clan ToT) - Templars of Twilight against the South Korean clan dream.t), which boasted progamers among its ranks. Despite this, his only other notable SC1 achievement is winning in an undisclosed LAN tournament in Belgium.[Citation needed] After signing up with the LowLandLions Starcraft squad on March 18, 2010 zion was further motivated and intended to compete in SC2 at the top level.[1] He was active in tournaments throughout 2010, but seemed to have stopped competing in 2011. In early 2012, he was removed from the LowLandLions roster page due to inactivity.
His Brood War team history includes fk and Dream.t).
In Beta
[edit]While having a relatively quiet SC2 career to date, Zion has been invited to a number of major events. One such event was the TeamLiquid SC2 Invitational 1, bowing out in round 1 of the tournament with a 0-2 score to Dutch powerhouse player Nazgul. Zion also competed in several ZOTAC Cup tournaments, reaching the Ro16 and the Ro8 of Cups #1 [Citation needed] and #2 [Citation needed] respectively.
Zion also featured in a showmatch against the then-mouz player Dreiven, which he won 2-0.[2]
