Liquipedia:Notability Guidelines/Tier Definitions

From Liquipedia Stormgate Wiki

Purpose

[edit]

This page defines the criteria that have to be met for an event to achieve a certain liquipediatier.

|liquipediatier=

[edit]

The liquipedia tier is the main tier of a tournament.

This is achieved by adding

|liquipediatier=

into the infobox league of the event, followed by a number ranging from 1 to 5.

Non-Standard tournaments, like e.g. Bot tournaments, Charity tournaments etc. and tournaments generally get assigned the Misc Tier (|liquipediatier=-1).

|liquipediatiertype=

[edit]

Each of the above Main Tier can optionally be paired with a Tier Type according to the recurrency of the event or to its typology.

This addition does not change the Main Tier of the event but just specifies its characteristic(s).

This is done by adding |liquipediatiertype=.

Supported values are:

  • |liquipediatiertype=Monthly
For tournaments played with a monthly recurrency.
  • |liquipediatiertype=Weekly
For tournaments played with a weekly recurrency.
  • |liquipediatiertype=Showmatch
If the tournament is a show match.
  • |liquipediatiertype=Qualifier
If the tournament is a qualifier to an event.
For Qualifiers the |liquipediatier= should match the liquipediatier of the event it qualifies to.
  • |liquipediatiertype=Charity
If the tournament is an event centered / entirely devoted to Charity causes.
