The 1st CIMO tournament is organized and sponsored by CIMO. It's the Chinese qualifier for the Electronic Sports World Cup - 2003, played offline in Shanghai (China)
The player xiaOt won, beating ChinaHuman in final.
Format
[edit]Group stage
[edit]The group stage consists of 2 groups of 6-7 players each:
- simple round robin (a player faces each others once),
- all matches are Bo3,
- played online from May 29th to 31st,
- top 2 of each group advance to the playoffs.
Playoffs
[edit]The 4 players remaining face in double elimination bracket:
- all matches are Bo3,
- early rounds played on June 2nd and grand final on June 3rd,
- Grand Final played with a super advantage (if the player coming from the losers' bracket won, a 2nd serie determine the winner),
- the winner get quote for World Final.
Prize pool
[edit]¥ 18,000 (≃ $ 2,178) are spread among the players as seen below. The winner get quote for World Final.
- Despite xiaOt ending first, ChinaHuman went to France to represent China.
