Champion Mastery

  • Summon Mastery Track is as follows. Each level will adjust the card's look and build on the previous level.

Combat

As we played more with the 2v2 we noticed there were some improvements and changes we needed to make to the overall flow and feel of the combat. It was not fully balanced yet or familiar enough to the players.

Camera and Champion Position

  • Moved the champion position to the left of the center of the screen
    • This is to give a better visual while fighting and throwing cards
    • This allows us to use the center of the screen for combat and abilities in more ways

Ultimate Immunity

  • Champions no longer get immunity frames while casting or using ultimate's
    • We felt that the ultimates were being used in ways to just get immunity frames and avoid damage. This was also leading to the abilities being used in combat when they were not meant to be used that way.

Reticle

  • Added a reticle so a player knows where they will attack
  • All attacks and abilities now go to the center of the screen where the reticle is
  • Hit marks when you hit something
  • KO indication when you get a KO

Opponent Targeting

  • Now has a white outline to show what opponent you will hit

Hit Notifications

[edit]
  • Increased the visuals to know when you're being hit or hitting something
    • Hit marks on the reticle
    • Screen flash
    • HP bar shake

Health Bars

  • Only shown if something is damaged

Damage Numbers

  • Removed damage flyoffs in game

Champions

As we dove more into the 2v2 nature of the game we found we needed to make the champions fill a role more. You will find updates to the champions kits to reflect these changes. Each champion also has a more distinct sidekick passive.

Champion Details View

  • By right clicking on a champion in deck selection you can see the details of a champion
    • This will show the champions abilities
    • You can now see the champions mastery track

Champion Talents

  • Champions now have talents that can be unlocked by mastering them
  • A deck can have 3 talents in them
  • A talent is active on a champion for the whole match

    • This is to lean into him staying in the fight and pushing the health regen of other champions by another 5 seconds

    • Last hitting an opponent spawns a health pickup

    • Bolgar Bolgar's dash knocks back opponents

    • Gains increased KNOCKBACK power of Logzooka.
  • NEW Talent - Reckless Charge: Gains movement speed for a duration after using Shoulder Bash.
  • NEW Talent - Earthshaker's Momentum: Gains bonus attack damage for a duration after using an ability.
  • NEW Talent - Thunder Paws: Burr's attacks apply KNOCKBACK.
  • NEW Talent - Bear's Fury: When Burr is active, Bolgar Bolgar becomes ENRAGED for a duration.
  • NEW Talent - Resilient Roar: Activating Werebear max heals all teammates around Werebear.
  • NEW Talent - Dominant Presence: Activating Werebear ENRAGES nearby teammates for a duration.

Sidekick Passive: Temporal Engine

  • This allows Locke to lean more into the “glass cannon” skirmish play style
  • NEW Sidekick Passive: Locke Locke's engines gain power each time he deals damage and lose power each time he takes damage.
    • Increases movement speed, attack speed and ultimate charge

Special

  • We felt having the ability to slow opponents two times was not needed and that we could make the hover move valuable for Locke Lockes playstyle
    • Now Hovers in the air for a duration, evading opponents and maintaining his Temporal Engine status.
      • Duration: 10 seconds
      • Cooldown: 10 seconds
      • This keeps you in the air long enough to get your health regen back
  • Dash: Chronowarp TIME DILATION (slowed time) duration changed from 2 seconds → 3 seconds
  • Ultimate: Full Send cooldown changed from 260 seconds → 190 seconds

  • NEW Talent - Resourceful Engineer: When a card is played there is a chance that card is kept in hand.
  • NEW Talent - Gear Infusion: Basic attacks have a chance to apply TIME DIALATION on the third hit.
  • NEW Talent - Aetherial Burst: Gains OVERSHIELD when using Hover.
  • NEW Talent - Chrono Surge: Full Send charges faster.

Sidekick Passive: XO Armor

All summons have had a pass on them. We felt that they needed changes and enhancements to them to fill the role they are meant to fill. These are the updated summon descriptions:

    • Three RANGED drones.
  • Sembler Sembler
    • SPAWNS Shooticrue Shooticrue over time gradually taking WEAR & TEAR damage. Sembler Sembler FLEES when attacked.
  • Beakit Beakit
    • Attacks pass through and damage opponents.
  • Skye Skye
    • Creates a field of OVERCLOCKED (sped up time).
  • Wotchy Wotchy
    • Guards an area by going out and attacking any opponents within his sight. Gradually takes WEAR & TEAR damage.
  • Deadeye Deadeye
    • Attacks from a RANGE gradually taking WEAR & TEAR damage. Deadeye Deadeye FLEES when attacked.
  • Chronodrop Chronodrop
    • ON SUMMON attacks immeadiately if opponents are in range. Creates a field of TIME DILATION when it attacks.
  • Fendor Fendor
    • ON SUMMON, provides an OVERSHIELD to teammates.
  • Janz Janz
    • ON SUMMON creates a field of TIME DILATION and damages any opponents in range.
  • Razorpaw Razorpaw
    • ACCELERATES over time dealing CRITICAL damge on impact.
  • RB-IT RB-IT
    • Applies TIME DILATION with it's attacks.
  • TD-PL TD-PL
    • UPGRADES, increasing the amount of TD-PL TD-PL summoned.
  • Zip-Zap Zip-Zap
    • Attacks from a RANGE increasing the damage dealt over time.
  • Shellshock Shellshock
    • Randomly targets opponents with its RANGED attack taking decreased damage while reloading.
  • Flingshot Flingshot
    • Immobile vent. Gradually takes WEAR & TEAR damage.
  • Lumph Lumph
    • ON SUMMON, overheals any teammates in range.
  • Vitadrop Vitadrop
    • ON SUMMON attacks immeadiately if opponents are in range. Deals LIFELINK damage when it attacks.
  • Slowclaw Slowclaw
    • Swipes its opponents dealing KNOCKBACK.
  • Hornelius Hornelius
    • KNOCKSBACK its opponents with its attacks.
  • Gorrit Gorrit
    • ON SUMMON, KNOCKSBACK and damages any opponents in range.
  • Aloe Aloe
    • Heals teammates from a RANGE finding a new teammate once the current one is fully healed.
  • Spord Spord
    • Gradually SPAWNS Trooplets over time.
  • Chonk Chonk
    • TAUNTS its opponents.
  • Pocus Pocus
    • Attacks from a RANGE dealing KNOCKBACK.
  • Buckshot Buckshot
    • Attacks from a RANGE.

    • Deals LIFELINK damage.

    • Throws Cacticrue Cacticrue at its opponents from a RANGE. Has THORNS.
