Paranormal investigation at the old Ohio State Reformatory. Shannon catches another audio of the moan. And Bruce shits his pants.

What the hell is this, I’m so creeped out! 😭😆

I caught an EVP, apparently, at the Mansfield Fire Museum Saturday night. Nila and I were in the chapel and she was having trouble with her phone. I was sitting still, across the pew from her, with my phone next to me recording (I wasn’t touching it). I wasn’t asking any questions because i was waiting for her to figure out her phone problem. Nila speaks twice and then there’s a whisper that sounds like it’s close to my phone. We’re sure it’s not one of us, and we didn’t hear it at the time.

I hear three words/syllables, from red mark to red mark (the last syllable is very faint, use headphones):

What I hear. It’s obviously debatable, but I heard it from the very first listen.

Oops, I accidentally deleted and had to reupload, now the first link doesn’t work. Here’s a new one:

Okay, have another listen. Most of our team is hearing “I know” and I can hear that now, too after listening again. It would make more sense, if something was responding to Nila talking about her phone issues (maybe even causing them). And I’ll admit, the “you” I was hearing is faint enough that it could be just part of the background hiss.

If you’re wondering why a newer Fire Department Museum building would be haunted, this is one possibility: The chapel replica in the Main Street exhibit section of the Mansfield, Ohio museum contains these items that were used at the old Ohio State Penitentiary (aka Shawshank in “The Shawshank Redemption”). A coffin that carried multiple dead prisoners to their graves would be a likely culprit.

Laughing at my own obnoxious laugh, after Nila accidentally hits “Play” on an earlier recording. 😆

My friend Nila and I laugh at the dumbest shit during investigations lol

We’re just a couple of ghost huntin’ dipshits.

Overnight paranormal investigation last night at the haunted Mansfield Fire Museum. Our tour guide, Bobby Shook, is a retired firefighter who worked in that capacity on the set of The Shawshank Redemption (filmed at the old Ohio State Penitentiary in Mansfield). He was also an extra in the movie, sitting behind Red on the bus after he was paroled. There’s an actual prison cell door from the penitentiary there, and a reconstruction of the chapel with pews, a pulpit, and a pine box coffin from the prison. Some believe there might be spirits attached to some of these things - I even got inside the coffin for a while but nothing strange happened as a result. 😆

Haven’t started my evidence review yet, but wanted to post a few pics.
