| The OP is kinda different. It was good. Like the "full" version of the Dream Sweet song. Man, this episode was really emotional. The first part was about Shiya's past which is always interesting to see. Seems like Shiya and that girl were close. Even after Shiya quit, it seems Yan still cares about her. Maybe Shiya wasn't alone like she thought. And that's why she changed in this episode. I hope she can keep becoming the best version of herself. Lmfao. Ruoni saw Shiya kiss Juntang. After all that effort, this is what she gets. |
| Tbh I think this show has become more about Shiya than Juntang lol. We really don't know much about Juntang but we're learning so much about Shiya. I think I might've preferred if this was her story and not his. If she doesn't end up with him it would make even less sense of why there's so much of her. It seems like Xia Yan is a perfect fit for idol life. Shiya may be pretty and talented but she's not made for the spotlight and all the downsides that come with being a celebrity. They might've been best friends but they feel completely differently about the idol industry so I can imagine that really impacting their friendship. I assume she was referring to Xia Yan ages ago when Shiya said friends act as if they'll always be there but they're not. Xia Yan telling Shiya that one day she'll get over it (the downsides of being an idol) and she just has to bite her tongue and go with it until then is... not great. But there isn't really another option besides quitting and that's what Shiya did. I don't know what the bigger issue between them is though. Like, is it because Shiya decided to leave, Xia Yan didn't want anything to do with her or vice versa? Surely you could still be friends while acknowledging the idol life isn't for everyone. If anything it kind of seems like it'd be better because there would be no competition? It wouldn't be an idol anime without one character warning another that they'll get fat if they eat something. Also, the female version of Green Light? Chef's kiss. |
