Is Ema.. not the MC? The synopsis mentions Hayashi and a character we've not even met yet, but no mention of Ema, whose head we were inside the entire first episode.

| Denial is a river in Egypt... Bro had the best glow up ever. Everytime Hayashi says "kawaii" a panda is born. Drinking game, go! I've seen BLs less fluffy than this. Wayama-sensei once again delivers with her witty bromantic heartthrobs, albeit the chemistry between Satomi and Kyouji (along with the whole new genre criminal-men-doing-cute-things) is hard to top. |

| Pretty funny pilot, this is more comedy focused than Karaoke it seems, Hayashi kinda reminds me of Sakamoto desu ga, this can be a comfy friday morning anime for sure. Also opening's song is pretty catchy ! |

Okay so there's no "true" MC. It's all centered around Hayashi, but we don't see from his perspective? That'll be interesting!

| Watched this because its manga entry said that it won the New Face Award and ranked 2nd in in the 2020 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! but it didn't captivate me at all, the first episode was completely boring and looks like it's going to be random episodic content, how did this boring shit win an award is a mystery. |

| While Karaoke Iko! takes a break after its penultimate finale run, Yama Wayama's other work of Muchuu sa, Kimi ni. a.k.a Captivated, by You, takes centerstage. Keina Suda's OP may not win any sympathy points, it's alright. The scenario of Jyouji Ema being captivated by Miyoshi Hayashi, in an all-boys school where even the regular sports festival cliché gets downplayed (y'know, since it's an all-boys setting), and the only one that catches Ema's sight being Miyoshi, most people would attempt to call this BL of all things, but it's just a matter of "adorable" preference. There's just something that strikes to Ema about Miyoshi, as weird and whimsical as it seems, until the latter comes to the former's place in a panda suit to promote his family's Chinese restaurant anniversary. The panda's adorable...and so is Miyoshi? Ema's dilemma is starting out alright. With the subtle VA's ED, this premiere feels a bit weird... |

| If Ema does not want to say it, I will - Hayashi is so cute! What is with that very HD effect of him taking off the panda head. I want to see Hayashi's laughing face too! I also like how Ema's tone of voice changed when he was talking to his sister hehe. I was pleasantly surprised with this. This episode made me giggle and giddy. I am so excited to watch the rest. |
| I really loved the bass in the OP. I guess this gonna be a BL? I like BLs so that's not a problem for me. I'm surprised by the low viewer count. I thought Ema was older than a middle/high schooler so I was like why is he calling underage girls adorable? lmao |
