I think it's a little bit funny when people debate the "real" identity of a superhero, the hero or the civilian, because most of the time it's like babes they're six personas deep at this point. To find the "real" you have to take varying sized scoops from all of them, blend them into mush, and then pour it into a specified container.

The friendship between Diana Prince and Clark Kent really makes me start barking and chewing because what if there was a friendship between an immortal god-like being and someone who's only perceived as an immortal god-like being, is in fact mortal and perfectly undivine, but is also closer to your status than any other of your far too human peers.
Clark, who has to portend with ageing extremely slowly, and potentially outliving everyone he knows by 100s of years: i don’t know what to do here
Diana, who does not seem to be ageing at all, will likely outlive most people she knows INCLUDING him by 1000s of years: haha yeah
Made myself sad thinking about Clark Kent in his mid forties or so realizing that he no longer looks the same age as his wife or his best friends and figuring out that oh. If he's not actively killed he's almost certainly going to out live them. And he has no idea by how much. He doesn't have any idea what his lifespan actually is and it scares the shit out of him.
I think a big part of Diana and Clark’s friendship is them learning together how to navigate being both part and apart from humanity. I think they look at the Justice League and wonder if at some point it’s only going to be the two of them left. And honestly I think they would lean on each other A LOT when it comes to that particular brand of grief.
