Stay away at any cost. My contract was renewed automatically after one year, and they started charging approximately 400 öre per kWh. I just realised I was paying so much money... Moving on to another company.

I spoke to a manager today called Mark in relation to an issue that occurred with a third party company working for one of the providers i.e Cheap Energy. The consultant signed us up to Energy Australia providing incorrect information (and proceeded to harrass my husband calling him frequently last week to obtain our accounts with other sevices at our property) and after signing up with Energy Australia resulted in a higher bill and caused us distress. Mark was clearly shocked with this agents approach to secure a sale and as an offer of good will provided a voucher for the difference in price from our previous energy provider. I cant thank Mark enough for his empathy in our situation and resolving the issue advising me that this company takes pride in their service delivery and this person's third party company would be contacted and this person's employment would be terminated due to the breaches the agent made. Thank you Mark and to those who have provided a one star rating...just remember this company,as others, have brokers that act on their behalf and this company WILL take responsibility and action if you come forward so please reach out to speak to management if you experience the same issues we have had as I believe this company will do their best to resolve your issue:)

Scammers. Claim to be cheapest but aren't after fees. If you don't cancel within a year they will 10x the price and charge you hiddenly on autogiro under the guise its a "rörlig" kWh pris even though it's 10x market price. They don't even send fakturas, you have to login on their website to get them. I noticed they drew a lot from my account but stupidly just assumed I used a lot of electricity. Turns out I didn't.
Unbelievable this is legal. I'm not going to let them charge me any more money without a legal battle first

Tried it in Denmark. The worst on the market. They advertise really low fixed price but it's never close to that with taxes and fees.
For april I have paid 3.71 dkk per kW which is pure scam considering the extremely low spot prices.

If you use vervivox it is free of charge. Thought the same with cheapenergy. Though they want a 30% cut of the savings.
Funny enough you can only find this in the small letters.
It's a scam. Use VERIVOX which is much better.

They don't answer when you call them. Also, they never give you the information that the price is only for 12 months, and after that it is more expensive.

Not worth the struggle.

Worst nightmare, after three months when I move I still pay for that apartment. They don't answer to phone, mail... You can't stop abonnemang. I move from December in another place and still pay in mars for that.

My advice is do your own research and DO NOT accept as fact anything a switching services claims. You will note invariably a total expected cost will be quoted when the 0nly comparisons that are needed are the kwh and daily standing charges.

I had a contact from the operator from cheep energy and offer me a contract, in the phone it was a misunderstanding, when the bill come it was not what we agreed. THEY DID NOT SEND ME COMFIRMATIN BY EMAIL OR LETER. I have ask them to change from 3 yeas contract to moveble but they don't want. I AM BERY DISAPPOINTED.

I had the oppertunity to contact Mr. Atella Musayev from the customer service at cheap energy company, other than he was a real gentleman and really proper gentleman he was very knowledgeable and supportive regarding my issue and he guided me and helped me until all my questions were answered and all my concerns has been assured it will be ok, other than that I am still smiling due to this pleasant conversation i have got, I wish all the companies would have a gentleman like hime and i wish that cheap energy would give us the luxury of choosing the people we will talk to in the future when we call as the options of the service types we choose. Thank you mr. Atella I appreciate your help and more i appreciate you for what you are, and thanks for cheap energy for looking after such great people.

My electricity bill have over doubled sence I chosed "Cheap energy" last month bill 9xx Sek this mounth 1500 for the same amount of electricity. Other that got VB egergy paying for the same electricity 600 sek.

All went well when I still lived in my house. When I moved, customer support said that my contract would be automatically cancelled in conjunction with me cancelling the contract with the electricity distributor.

Cancelled that, but cheap energy continued to bill me even though they did not get any readings. Had to call customer support, counting billable hours this contract now cost more than it ever saved. Best to just go with established players.

When the contract expired after 12 months, penny price increased by almost 10x times and just realised it after more than a year later of paying it. Increased from 150kr/month to over 1000kr/month a little more than a year ago for a 35 square meter apartment.

Latest invoices are now at 360-390 öre / kWh.

The average price with others is 50-80 öre/kwh.

Very difficult to follow how much has been drawn over time and consumption on Cheap Energy's page, unless you open each individual invoice. Compared to other alternatives that have smarter options to actively follow via app or user-friendly page.

I have now applied to switch to another electricity company that follows the average price, high turstpilot rating user-friendly apps / website.

Business model based on fraud. Fairly priced if you follow up as a full time job.

From that moment you do not ACTIVE renew your agreement, they charge (in our place) close to 10 times the price of previous month.

Stay away! You will end up feeling abused.

I have been a customer for a few years. This month I have received suddenly a faktura with price of 397 öre / kwh - a price that they made up.

It turns out that if you do not actively choose a new avtal, you do not roll onto their offer automatically like all other electricity companies, insurances, etc.

They have a special avtal that charges a huge extra cost for the electricity, plus a 100kr avgift, to punish you for not choosing one of their other avtal.

I called them to see if they would amend the faktura for me, as clearly this is not something you expect to happen, and they said no, I have to pay. Even though the price per öre for electricity is completely made up by them for their punishment avtal.

So I have to pay that unbelievable price per öre for electricity last month, plus a 100kr avgift.

I also only found out about this when my faktura for November came on the 12th December. I called them and I also have to pay 400 öre/kw for the first two weeks of December.

So, I am paying 400 öre/kw for 6 weeks, as punishment for not actively changing to another avtal.

Yes, terms and conditions, blah blah blah. Every other energy company, insurance company, etc, will roll you over to their offer if you do not respond. They do not make a special rate of 3 x the market rate just to punish you.

In the real world, this is done just to catch you out so they can make a huge profit for a while until you find out, which will not be until 6 weeks after their punishment avtal begins.

So, if you want to be scammed, this is a great place to be.

And don't expect them to try and help you if you call, this is part of their business plan.

They have been charging me 8 times more for months!!! Even though I have a flexible contract that must be adjusted automatically when prices change, mine didn't go down and I was paying 8 times more for many months. One day I called they adjusted it back and removed my monthly avgift but what if I didn't call, what about others who never call?!

Do not choose this company!

They changed my contract to a "indefinite contract" and said that the prices would be set to their "purchase price" which indicated low prices. They didn't suggest to choose any other, cheaper option, so I assumed that this would be a good thing to go with. After a while i noticed that my electric bill got very expensive. Turned out that instead of haveing their regular prices of about 0,7-1,5sek/kwh the price was set to 3,5-4sek/kwh.

The agreements are named very similarely to other deals they show on their page so it's very easy to misstake them for being the same. The agreement also doesn't state anything about the "indefinite contract" begin very expensive just that it's based on month to month pricing (have been the same for a year with 3,5-4sek/kwh).

Also, all flexibel contracts go over to this "indefinite contract" after 12 months so in my opinion they do this by purpose. Very well aware that many customers think this is an okay deal to have to later realize that prices are insane!

Complete scam, keep away from them.
They lure you in with a supposedly cheap offer and then after a while bump the prices and add a hidden flat fee every month.
Avoid at all costs.

Im no expert on electricity pricing. But when I do a structured comparison between the development of the spot prices from energimarknadsbyran.se and what I have been paying CE per kWh (nonfixed price contract) the last couple of months I'm horrified. The price i'm paying CEs per kWh has soared well over the market price development. There might be a business reason for this - but for me as a consumer its unacceptable. I'm leaving this company ASAP.

Had an original contract with no notice period, after the contract ended they automaticly put me on a new expensive one without telling me. That conntract also had a notice period so they locked me in when I wanted to change from them as well.

Avoid them at all costs even if they seem cheap it will end up costing you more!
