This system locks $50 from your account…

This system locks $50 from your account for each charging attempt...even if the charge fails. I was charged multiple times just trying different outlets that showed green and had no visible errors, but still didn’t work.

Tried switching outlets? That’s another $50 hold for days. No successful charge, just multiple pending charges.

And when you try to reach customer service? You won’t get through. It’s practically non-existent.

I am very sorry that you have an impression that we are non-existent. We are very much here, and our support center is open 24/7 365 days a year when you call the support number in the app.

Regarding the $50, this is a reservation and not a charge on your account. The reservation is instantly released, but we are aware of some card providers keeping the reservations visible on the account for a longer period. We are actively working on minimizing this inconvenience for our users as much as possible, but it is a market standard to make a temporary reservation the account to verify that sufficient funds are available. This is not a charge and it is released instantly.

I am very sorry, that you have had this bad experience with using our service. I hope the above addresses any concerns, and I have also requested some info from you to reach out and make sure any other questions are answered.

Public charging issue rectified

I had public charging enabled in my apartment parking a week back, but I wasn’t able to charge due to some issue. Sending an email just highlighting the problem, I was pleasantly surprised to see quite prompt action from Spirii (Lucas from support team, thank you!) to get it rectified and get charging working quite quickly. Great example of listening to the customer and responding promptly.

Unreliable mess


Unreliable, expensive, inconvenient. My charger works 90% of the time. Other 10% is when I have to use car and my battery is flat. Getting charging tag isn't simple, and when you get it, it doesn't work.
And finally, they do a reservation of 500 SEK before every charging session. Ocassionaly runs my account dry before remainder is refunded to me since it might accumulate 5-6 reservations.
My car is plug-in hybrid. To charge it from 0-100% it takes only 12 kW which is around only 40 SEK.

Terrible. I'd never use it, but my landlord is incapable of installing their own chargers so I'm stuck with this nightmare.

The price is set by the owner of the location where you are charging, not by us.

We would like to help you with the reported unreliability, that you are experiencing, as we do not see any failed transaction on the location in question.

It's correct that we reserve an amount (300 SEK) to validate that the card is active and have the necessary funds to pay for the session. We lift these reservations as soon as the sessions starts.

Arrogance and no help, if you get parking penalty because of a charger problem with charging cord falling out under the charging

I can see that we have tried to resolve the issue but, since we couldn't provide any technical data showing that the charge cable had fallen out by itself, we couldn't provide you that technical evidence to overrule the parking ticket.

For sure the worst one I have ever seen among all other apps for elbil, just looking forward to change my company
Hope you dont go for it.
Many time happens, not working with no reason
The option of planning the charg in a specific time disappears with no reason
You can not see the prices of the amount of kwh
The prices in the app does not match the electricity app in our area
Hope I can change my el company very soon

Charger not working, AGAIN

For the second time in 10 less than 2 weeks, the charging box I connected my car to at Energivej (Lyngby) doesn't work. I had to call customer service (they responded fast) and stand outside in the cold for several minutes hopelessly trying to troubleshoot and reconnect the car a few times without any luck. Given the cold season and higher demand for charging, this issue has become quite inconvenient and I'm not sure if I should rely on their charging stations anymore.
Sprii should invest more in maintenance and/or higher quality infrastructure.

That chargers at DTU are not owned by us, we provide the "platform" from where you can access the chargers, but the owner in this case DTU, decides what kind of hardware they want to use. In Spirii we don't own any chargers, we only "operate" them.

I have send you an email explaining the details of the charging session and what seems to be the reason why you had trouble charging.

Charging stations not working, no solution

The charging stations DK. SPI. ZS275*1, DK. SPI. ZS280*1, DK. SPI. ZS201*1, DK. SPI. ZS213.1 have been out of service since 31-10-2023. Problem was reported the same day and several times after that day. No solution, no information, no response. This shameful situation has obliged me to change my car charging routine, wasting 30 minutes per day to the nearest charging station.
What a poor service!!!

Update 27-11-2023. From an outside prospective it seems we are watching a ping pong game between DEAS (property manager) and Spirii: Property manager states that problem is fixed but chargers are out of order, Spirii states that property manager did not inform them. However, and as a matter of fact, I and other tenants of the location have been without charging stations for almost one month. :(

We did respond and act on the problem that you've reported, the same day that you contacted us. As the issue required a technician at the site, we escalated this and the day after we had a technician there to look into this.
Unfortunately the issue was beyond our control, as the property where the chargers are installed have a faulty supply board. We have contacted the owners of the property and informed them of the issue.

We apologize that we did not do a good enough job of informing you of the process that was going on, and for the inconvenience.

We hope to have the location up and running as fast as possible.

We are sorry that the process was dragged out.
The day after we were informed that the supply board was fixed, we had our technician at the site to get the chargers up and running again.

We hope there's some understanding that we can't control issues like this, and that we always try our very best to fix any issues as best as the circumstances allow us.

Very bad experience with the app and…

Very bad experience with the app and the support. The app is full with bugs and the support not very helpful. The charging station was not releasing the charger despite appearing free in the app. I tried to start and stop (which costs 50dkk) but that did not solve the problem.

We have not heard from other customers regarding the many bugs you have noticed, so we would like to see what you are experiencing in the app in order to solve the issues.

For your information, it does not cost 50 DKK to start and stop a charge session. It is just a reservation of 50 DKK to make sure there is enough money on the card to start a transaction, and it is therefore not an actual charge on your card. The charge on your card will occur when the charge session is finished, and the full consumption is known from your charge session.

As written above, we really hope you would get in contact with us, so we could help you with the app.

Excellent Product, Excellent Customer Service

The customer service personnel, Trine, was excellent. She took her time to explain and help us with the challenges we were facing with the home charger. She promised to follow up on a couple of questions and she did so. Any time we called the support, we received help without having to wait longer. For the product, so far it is working fine. I will provide an in depth review of it when I have used it enough
