When I made a large payment against my loan the company can not provide me with a document showing that the payment had been made. They happily took the money but when asked for a receipt, they are unable to provide a receipt for the transaction. I need it for business going forward, and they told me to "take a screen shot". Not very helpful.

Despite repeated follow-ups, my withdrawal was constantly postponed. Leinș felder stepped in and successfully recovered my funds.
Overall just awful experience here for my car loan
This is easily the worst bank I have ever worked with. I used them for my car loan and when I found a better interest rate, I went through the process to refinance. I initially had my payments set automatically for each month, but was expecting the payoff to go through soon, so I cancelled them on the app. A few days later, the payment was taken out of my account anyways. In addition, it took Ally weeks to process the payoff check and at this point, there was now a difference in the payoff amount and the remaining balance. I called their customer service, which is awful. Not only is it difficult to actually get to speak to someone, but when you finally get a representative on the line, they have poor English and you can barely understand them. They are also very scripted, and to every question I asked, such as when I could expect the payoff difference to be sent and exactly how much this would be, they just told me that they apologize and cannot give me the information I am asking for. I regret ever using this company and am very thankful I refinanced to a much better company instead that has excellent customer service and is very straightforward and quick with everything.
I wish I had not listened to my dealership! Worst!
I wish I had not listened to my dealership and kept my local bank. Experience was not worth the slightly better rate. Super prime customer that is not used to such poor service at all! My first payment (I sent electronic check ) took forever to be processed by ally. They stated it was not received despite my bank stating otherwise. I sent a direct electronic payment. Ally then apparently found and processed the check. Fine, whatever. Extra payment. Ally then sent a message that the next payment would be skipped, as the next due date would be two months away instead of one. Fine again. I set up autopay so that this fiasco would not be repeated. Following month, you guessed it, they took payment again. Now they state yet another month. ?!?Support as super unhelpful. Stating that auto pay would draw payments every month regardless of the scheduled payment date. So I will always be a payment ahead?! No solution? Can’t return payment and can’t accept the payment and reduce the number of payments. I eventually just deleted my auto pay and will just add it again once the payment is actually due. I strongly suspect I will get a late payment notice even though I have already paid. I don’t have time for banks that make mistakes and can’t fix them or come up with solutions. I have to make my own solution? One more incident, and i will just pay the loan off and make an irate visit to my dealership. They will not use ally ever again or lose my business and my clients business. I’ll make certain of that.
Release our funds in overpayment today !
Paid auto loan in full 100% paid , but the overpayment we paid won't be released back to us. They are saying although we agree on the ammount they have to have 30 plus days to process a refund to us. We paid every payment on time and the title was already released, so why hold our overpayment for 30 plus days so they can write ua a check , he'll no. Send it today you rip offs.

Don't trust them .I received a letter to my father's address so he sent to me because it came in my name .It was some 1099c that they wrote off a van in my name and I needed to report it to the IRS . I called them and they started saying it was about a Minivan. My mother passed away about 5 years ago .She had a minivan the same make and model.I tried to explain it wasn't mine to a rude lady who snapped at me saying well you must have co-signed than.I asked for the vin number off the van so I could try and track it and they refused to give it to me .I asked for the year of the van .They said I should already know it .I haven't owned a car in almost 15 years and this situation is probably from 17 years ago since that's when my mother had the van. They said I should have contract to know the information.I said why would I have a contact on a van I never owned .I talked to my dad and he said they traded the van in years ago but was paid for and was in my mom's name .I think they are just writing stuff off for tax purposes and found my mother's van information when they found out she died they wrote the van off in my name .My parents had good credit and always paid their bills on time .I don't have such great credit especially back than when I had just started out on my own .No way I could have co-signed anything.Plus the address on the letter was my mothers address not mine .If someone at that address owned the van it definitely her .
Horrible Horrible
Horrible Horrible! Good luck speaking to anyone that works for this company that is in the United States or speaks English!!
Run away from Ally
Run away. This lease company is a money grab for them. Don't trust what anyone tells you and don't believe what is in the contract. We followed it to the letter and they still want more. Our vehicle was 10000 miles under the allowed mileage, garage kept and perfectly maintained and they still charged us for ware at the end. "Normal ware" is a way for them to not have to do what they say.
I wish I could leave zero stars
I wish I could leave zero stars. By far the worst everything from customer service to car lender. Will never recommend and always tell others to RUN!!

To anyone considering purchasing an extended warranty plan through @Allyauto don’t!!!! You pay a deductible for service and if you trade in your vehicle and cancel your auto policy early they will deduct the cost of repairs paid out from your remaining balance if the plan you paid for and refund you NOTHING! Wow! Talk about rip off! I had my vehicle in service 4 times for the problem never to be fixed which made me have to trade my vehicle in. Do better Ally Auto. Chevrolet dealers need to offer a different company to customers that pay $4,000 for this like I did to get $0.00 back. Ridiculous Ally
Non existent customer service
I recently sent multiple months worth of payments in the form of a 2 party check. Only to have said payments returned to me in the mail. I was forced to take the check to a REAL bank and pay $$$ for them to issue a Cashiers check, not to mention pay for more postage to send the check in. Since mailing said check... I have received multiple emails and spam calls from basically non English speaking agents telling me that my account is past due...

I was on the phone for almost 1 hour with their foriegn customer service people and I am highly upset with the amount of time it took me to get page 1 & page 5 of my contract with Ally. I would like for people considering using Ally to never use their services for financing!! They are one of the worst!!!
Poor communication
Poor communication, updated my address, never received any documents about a repossession, repossessed my vehicle, sold it at auction, no paper trail of the entire process, funny thing is they knew my address when picking up my vehicle, but cant mail nothing!Customer service sucks, people who answer the phone are not helpful at all! Can't answer questions and downright clueless. On part 2 of this disaster, I have a second vehicle financed, reporting to credit bureau its current and they saying im 3 months behind, once again not documents, no email, just a call with someone mumbling and hanging up.Went on there website to log in to view my account, they cant locate my account?

When I make my payments it’s takes them 1 to 2 days to process the payment so I have to wait 2 days waiting for payment to process I have other bills to pay I made a bad decision
I looked on the app was caught up
I looked on the app was caught up, they came today on a Sunday to repo my truck now look at the app it says I was behind by 6700 and owe 73,000, it's Sunday my only vehicle and I have to work tomorrow. And they are not open. They are so unprofessional on anything never again
Ally Financial doesn't align with customer values
I had a spotless payment history on my auto loan with Ally Financial. I never missed or was late on a single payment. When I paid off my loan early in order to finance a new vehicle, Ally closed the account — but claimed I still owed one final payment that came due the same day the loan was closed.
I never received a normal bill, statement, or alert that this “final payment” existed. I got an alert from Credit Karma that there was a negative impact on my credit. What I discovered is that Ally reported the account as past due to the credit bureaus, causing a drop in my credit score. Once I found out about the amount I attempted to make a payment which they cancelled.
This is absolutely irresponsible for a financial institution to treat its customers the way Ally has treated me. A lender should never report a consumer delinquent without clearly billing them and giving them a reasonable chance to pay. Ally had my contact information, my banking details, and full knowledge that the loan was paid off. I have documentation from Ally Bank stating "... all obligations have been satisfied." And yet they still linger negatively on my credit report.
This experience has shown me that Ally Financial does not protect its customers when mistakes happen. The mistake I made was to open a loan with Ally Financial.
Horrible
Horrible. They make things impossible. I had missed a payment and got a message that my car was assigned for repossession. When I called it was the day before I got paid so I made a payment arrangement for the next day. When I called the next day they told me there was a stop payment on my account and I can’t make a payment. They told me to wait till tomorrow and “hopefully” I’ll be able to. So my car is still at risk of being repossessed even though I was willing to pay today. Ridiculous!
Can't get lien release
I purchased a vehicle from a deceased person and paid off the lien to Ally in September. Here it is the end of January and I can't get them to release the lien to MVD so that it can be registered in my name. I have spent hours on the phone as they transferred me about 10 times. The last person I talked to said she would send me the lien release. That was two weeks ago and still nothing.
