As it was the opening of the store in my home town of Chester I popped along for opening day. The staff everyone I interacted with were super helpful friendly and non pushy. Each one explained in detail about the fragrances I was trying and helped guide me through my testing. The staff were all amazing. I purchased Ex Inhilo blue tailsmen extrait and absolutely love it. The store is a massive credit to Chester and is now my number one destination for fragrance and skin care. Thank you for making my day amazing

I have always considered Harrods a benchmark for customer service, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing.
In December 2025, I returned a gifted item at the WHSmith bookstore operating as a concession within Harrods. A refund was processed in-store, and the refund receipt clearly confirmed that it was returned to my Harrods Rewards account. However, that amount never appeared on my balance.
Over several weeks, I tried to resolve this calmly and professionally. I spoke with Harrods Transaction Services in person and corresponded directly with the bookstore management. Despite providing receipts and repeatedly explaining the issue, I was passed back and forth between departments, with responsibility shifting between the WHSmith concession and central Harrods services.
At no point was the discrepancy between the refund receipt and my actual Rewards balance resolved, nor was a goodwill solution offered to close the issue. The outcome is that I am without the item and without access to the refunded value, despite documentation stating otherwise.
The most frustrating aspect was not the amount involved, but the lack of ownership and accountability across both the concession and the wider store. For a business that prides itself on premium service, I expected clearer communication and a more proactive resolution to what should have been a straightforward issue.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as situations like this undermine trust in the overall customer experience.

We had an amazing afternoon tea experience at the Georgian Restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic — elegant, relaxed, and truly special.
The food was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches, scones, and cakes were all beautifully presented and tasted wonderful.
A special mention goes to Catherine, our waitress. She was smiley, friendly, helpful, and outstanding throughout. Her service was truly impeccable and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
This is one of the best afternoon teas we’ve ever had, and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely be returning!

Very disappointing customer service. Staff were unhelpful and dismissive, and resolving a simple issue felt unnecessarily difficult. For a brand of this calibre, the level of service did not meet expectations at all. Sadly, the experience does not reflect the reputation Harrods is known for

Harrods made a packaging error - sent me 2 pairs of boots in the wrong boxes. This wasn't the problem - it can happen to anyone - their DREADFUL customer service was. Different person each time I emailed, no one intelligent enough to understand the issue, long waiting time between emails. It's more than 5 weeks down the line and no resolution in sight...

Another lady assisted me while I was looking for an item, she immediately went and found it for me, which was very helpful. Overall, all the staff I interacted with were friendly, helpful, and made my visit a truly enjoyable experience.

I bought an item online on 2nd February from Harrods only to receive an email confirmation of the order with an estimated dispatch date of 11th February. I rang customer service to cancel my order only to be told it is not possible to cancel the order. I cannot believe that is coming from Harrods. I have now received an email saying my order is on its way and I don't want or need the item any more because I have already bought the item in store. I will refuse delivery and dispute this purchase with my card provider because I asked them to cancel it before it was dispatched.
I thought I was buying from a top-end useful company but they have just proven to be one of the worst to purchase from online. Had I known how incompetent they are, I wouldn't have bothered.

Harrods won’t send a refund for returned faulty item and won’t send a replacement order. Instead they are asking for a pick up from the UK, despite the fact that I live in Europe.
Here’s their email after sharing my experience in another trustpilot review. They reply all reviews but won’t take care of anything:
“As previously communicated, we will not be proceeding further with this matter, and we won't be communicating further regarding this case.
You were advised to collect the items in person from Customer Service on the 3rd Floor within 30 days, and you did not do so.
Please note that, as the item is classified as HAZMAT, cannot be re-dispatched to you due to EU HAZMAT regulations. You will need to make alternative arrangements for the item to be collected from our store, either by yourself or by a friend or family member within 2 weeks from today’s date. After this period, they will be donated.”
