Terrible fraud resolution team
Terrible fraud resolution team. 3500 AED fraud on my account, has taken over 10 months in dispute resolution. After half a dozen emails and calls, they finally admit they have lost the whole dispute and suggest that I start the process again, with an expected resolution time of 180 days. Insane.

I paid for my vacation 20000 aed and I’m not allowed to pay at the restaurant even after calling them because they say they cannot increase the limit. Expect all your airtime credit to be wasted. If they dont pick they should just make the phone number toll free.

It takes 30 to 40 mins to reach customer care. And when agent picks up, they say their tool is not working and will forward to automated system to connect to another agent and it's a loop.
Come on guys, don't scam us.
I tried to close the credit card 3 weeks before my annual fee, and HSBC agent called me (only when they need they will call us :)), and assured that the fee will be reversed for a other year. They mentioned that I just need to call the CS to request for fee reversal. Now, I am unable to raise that request as I am deliberately kept on the loop as I explained above.
It's a pethatic service and unethical practice.
If they ever attend, I am going to close the card once and for all.
For those who out there, if CS calls you to not cancel the card by giving false promises of fee reversal, then expect this pain.. I feel it's not worth it.

Worst bank ever! They never pick your calls. I have been trying to contact HSBC since 2 weeks. And each call is for 20-25 mins and still no answer. I have lost around 300 dhs only on calls. Because I'm working in offshore.

Extremely frustrating and disappointing call-centre service. I called the local UAE number and it took exactly 20 minutes and 15 seconds for someone to answer. This is not the first time — every time I call HSBC call centre, the wait is always beyond 10 minutes, and these calls are charged. As a loyal customer, this level of delay is unacceptable. There was a fradululent transaction.I had to pay the entire amount even after the companint was raised .Then I waited for 2 months for the amount to be reverted back.HSBC assured me that the issue was resolved and the amount is now credited back.
Then the very next month they sent the same money back to the merchant who had conducted the fraudulent transaction.! without giving any reason!
For about 5 months now Iam trying to get this fraudulent transaction amount back.They dont intimate you by message when such transactions happen.they dont protect you even after a dispute is reguistered and ongoing.Sincerely doubt how secure the details are with this bank,waiting time is minimum 20 minutes if you try to call.the customer service executives are least trained and keep you on hold for 20 minutes and then give you no resolution.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from HSBC over the past week. Every transaction I attempted was placed on hold for up to 72 hours, causing significant inconvenience and delays. This issue occurred repeatedly with every transaction I made during the week.
The customer service experience has also been extremely poor. My calls to customer support often rang for 20 minutes or more without being answered, and when I did manage to speak with someone, the information provided was inconsistent and unhelpful. The continued miscommunication and lack of responsiveness are unacceptable.
Additionally, the agent who opened my account clearly informed me that it was a current account and that after maintaining a balance of 3,000, no charges would be deducted. Despite this, I was charged 26.75, and the agent is no longer responding or providing any update regarding this issue.
Overall, this experience has been highly frustrating, and I hope HSBC takes these concerns seriously and improves both its transaction processing and customer service support.

Simply the worst bank one can sign up for, complete incompetence and lack of communication, garbage service and it is obvious that their customer support is their biggest weakness, whenever you raise an issue you must hold the representatives hand and teach them their job, their application is outdated and they cannot help a customer out without raising their blood pressure. As a customer of other banks such as DIB ENBD CITI and FAB since 2021, i can confidentially say this is by far the worst bank one can sign up for, do not make the mistake of signing up with them

In branch of HSBC in Dubai mall in lower ground level we faced worst customer service.
We came yesterday 21/10/2025 at 16:45 with the concern that online banking services.
And the staff at 1-st counter was so aggressive. 0 communication ethics and company presence.
1- he opened in his screen video and it’s disturbing
2- he is raising voice aggressively when explaining
3- he didn’t allow us to go to other staff. When we already requested him to not take our token, we want to go to other staff. But no he accepted our booked token and we declined of course we didn’t have passion to wait again.
This kind of staffs are making people make decisions to change bank.
AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT HEADACHES
Told to open a term deposit to get a credit card as a premier customer - did so - 2 days later was told facility removed. False or incorrect information provided by RM's associated with my account. Have closed the Time deposit and now the bank try to sneak in a penalty charge - useless and have had to escalate to CEO level to head of HSBC - if you want to experience incompetence go to HSBC in UAE - wish had gone local banks who shine above this farce.
