Cancelled 10 mins before check-in - no help given

Host cancelled 10 mins before check-in. Expedia had promised all the help we needed if anything went wrong - all we had to do was contact them. Except they didn't want to know when we did.

Atrocious customer service.

We were incredibly lucky that someone from the same apartment building went out of their way to help us search for alternative hotel rooms, in a city that had just received around 4,000 additional travellers for an event.

Happy to take your money straight away, non-existent when things go wrong, and slow to refund.

NEVER AGAIN.

Nearly great

On the plus side, the claims procedure is very simple, and the payment for claims is prompt.

The experience would have been better if the details online had made it clearer that I could use any VAT registered company for a new tyre - which would have resulted in having a replacement on the scene the same night (rather than having to be relayed home).

2 visits - 2 very different experiences

Initial visit for eye test was fine - prompt service and very friendly.

Return to store for collection of glasses the complete opposite - handed the glasses and on your way, not even a question of trying them on or making sure they were right.

Back to online ordering for me...

Great first experience of Motorway

Great first experience of Motorway - and indeed the eventual buying dealership, with particular mention to Ella who guided me through the easy process.

Simple format for listing the vehicle - easy to use via mobile phone with clear instructions and on-screen guides for taking photos (if you can't get this right, by the way, you probably shouldn't own a phone!)

"Reserve" price set was already around £200 more than a rather well-known rival - but the final offer from a dealership was in excess of £850 more - in fact it was fairly close to what I might have been able to sell for privately, but without the hassle.

Also worth noting is that you're not committed to selling the car until you confirm you're happy with the price obtained, so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

No late drama either when, as luck would have it, someone kindly dented a door panel in a supermarket carpark. Only small, but contacted Motorway, who spoke with the dealer, and no reduction in price needed.

Paid very slightly later than originally stated, but no panic and staff kept me up to date with plans.

Will certainly recommend.

Happy shopper!

Using Quidco for many years - only ever had 2 or 3 cashback claims rejected but you just need to treat every one of them as a probable, not a definite, and you'll be ££££s better off in the end.

For me, it's about £2,000 that I wouldn't have had. Happy days.
