I went on boatsetter and rented a boat for 2 days. It showed Sept 2, 2025 8:30am until Sept3, 2025 6pm. (I have a screen shot of this.) After I complained of being overcharged for fuel (3/4 tank when rented and that I was charged for a full tank when returned AND none of the boat gages worked which I had no way of knowing until after using the boat for a few hours and noticed that the Garmin gage never changed). When I made these complaints, I was told by boatsetter that I was supposed to dock the boat at the dock that I picked the boat up from instead of the air BNB dock which was 2 miles away. If that were the case, it should have been discussed and I should have been informed of this. Boatsetter should have shown that I was renting the boat Sept 2, 2025 8:30am until 6pm ( or any predetermined time) & Sept 3, 2025 8:30am until 6pm. Nowhere and nobody informed me that I was to return the boat to the owner's dock which was 2 miles from my air bnb. I would easily have brought the boat back the first day and repicked it up the next morning if anybody had said to do so. Boatsetter nor the owner said anything about this. When I picked up the boat, I told the owner that it would be right around the corner at our air BNB dock. The owner said see you tomorrow at 6pm. That night, the owner never called me, nor texted me, nor sent a message through boatsetter saying "where are you, where is my boat, etc." There was no issue and the owner was polite when I returned the boat. We stood on his dock and discussed our fishing, boating, Florida, etc. The owner left me a review saying that I was a great communicator and all was great. Then I complained of the fuel overcharge (caused by broken gages), and was informed about not returning the boat that night. I never got any of the overcharge for fuel returned to me.
Also note for potential renters: the insurance that boat setter has through a third party does not cover any use of boats at night.
Bottom line is: poor communication. This was the first time I ever used boat setter. I will use them again, but there is no reason to rent a boat for 2 days if you are supposed to return the boat to the owner instead of keeping it at your dock (even when you are not told to do so). I hope this review helps others to not have to go through some of these issues.

I arrived. The tickets that I purchased for specific seats were changed to horrible seats. I could not see the show at all and left after a few songs. My party of 5 was miserable.

I saw the Sonora Guitar Intensive ad on Facebook and contacted them. We scheduled an interview. The interview was pleasant and the young man explained the program very well. I have played guitar for over 20 years and am very proficient. After he saw me play, he was questioning why I would need their program. I explained that it would be to fill in gaps in my theory and playing. I wanted to master the instrument and wanted to play freely anything that I heard in my head. He felt that 6 months would be enough for me in their program. I did not want to rush the experience, so I asked for a price for 1 year. He quoted $13,800 for 1 year with an online private mentor. I did not enroll because I felt the price could never be justified in my usage. He did offer a paid in full discount which lowered the price to $11,800. He also mentioned financing options. I recorded the whole interview.

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years. I could play over any type of music, always got compliments when I performed, and knew more theory & concepts than most, but I knew inside that I had not stepped into the next level of being a musician. In 4 life-times, I could not complete all of the resources that I have amassed over the years. There has been no limit to the study guides, materials, videos, etc. I am a member of numerous online groups, and methods. Some even include zoom meetings and feedback. So...what has been missing?

I did not need more exercises. I wanted focused direction from somebody who has been successful in the ways that I desired to be successful. I happened upon a you-tube video of Lukas & signed up for a zoom meeting. Here is what I found:

Lukas is direct & to the point in his teachings. He has a positive attitude & has created a path which got me playing with more command of the instrument. I have never considered myself a shredder & did not want to become one. I wanted the ability to throw speed in my playing along with my sense of melody and to be able to express myself through the guitar freely. Almost 60% through the Modern Guitar Course, I am still seeing improvement every single day. Others say I am playing & shredding like never before.

Not having a direction is frustrating & wastes your time. The Modern Guitar Course is focused, direct, structured and progresses step by step, yet it has led me to grow in the guitar style that I love. I like that it is straight to the point & not wasting time. Lukas knows what to do, the order to do it in & shows you that he truly cares about your growth & success. Lukas has been quick to respond to any emails that I send him. The zoom meetings are where Lukas provides the necessary guidance. I have felt like zoom meetings with other teachers were rushed, they were maintaining a business, they were focused on the materials & not on you as an individual. Lukas has the heart of an encouraging teacher.

Make the financial commitment, make the time commitment, make your vision your reality. Lukas will guide you as you trust the process and grow.
