Survival horror games drop the player in a horror setting where survival against usually supernatural enemies is made difficult by sparse distribution of weaponry and ammunition and often a more realistic approach to the protagonist's physical capabilities. The goal of these games is usually to escape the hazardous situation and trying to survive.
