Fixes and improvements

By default on Windows 10/11 the game may be running at an increased speed. To fix this, V-Sync must be enabled through third party software.

For Nvidia cards, you must go to the Nvidia control panel/Manage 3d settings/Program settings. Then either select the game from the list (it may be listed as "Overlay.exe", or "HarrisGscribe"), or manually add "Overlay.exe" from the game's folder. In the "Specify the settings for this program" dropdown, select V-sync, and set it to enabled.

  1. Version 3.4.49.1 of StarForce DRM does not work on Windows Vista or later.[2][3][4][5] For supported versions of Windows the StarForce driver may need to be updated manually using SFUPDATE.
  2. Applications writing to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE will be redirected to other locations based on various criterias, see the glossary page for more details.
  3. When running this game without elevated privileges (Run as administrator option), write operations against a location below %PROGRAMFILES%, %PROGRAMDATA%, or %WINDIR% might be redirected to %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore on Windows Vista and later (more details).
