My dogs love Bark Box & Super Chewer
Bark Box Resolved this. We’ve now been customers for 7 years & still remain because they do follow up & follow through. I do recommend them but, if your dogs don’t destroy the toys… be ready for many repeat toys. My dogs used to destroy them so this wasn’t a huge issue. Now they’re older & don’t destroy them so 3-4 of the same toy is kinda pointless. My dogs love Bark Box & Super Chewer. We’ve had a subscription for well over 6 years. We’ve adjusted strength & toys over the years for our dogs as well as multiple fosters we’ve shared with. My dogs are large & enjoy a variety of toys. Super chewer gives them tough chew toys & I often order the XL toys for them as well.
Recently they had a clearance sale & I purchased quite a few toys. I often buy extra toys to donate & for gifts as well. I placed multiple orders & did not receive my full order. I contacted bark about a missing raft from one order & a missing hydrant sprinkler & cookies from another. I was given the run around for well over an hour & still do not have a resolution. I was also missing 2 bags of treats from the first order. This guy insisted that the missing items were shipped separately despite them being listed on the invoice of the order that was supposed to be received. I even copied & pasted the order lists. Eventually he said he had replaced the 5 boxes of cookies, missing pork chunk treats & the hydrant. The raft was shipped separately & was actually listed as such on the email detailing the shipment of my orders.
Yesterday I received the raft & the final order. I am STILL MISSING the fire hydrant sprinkler, 5 boxes of dog cookies, & 2 bags of pork meat chunks. (Part of the issue I believe is they’re drop shipping via Amazon instead of filling the orders themselves) I thought I resolved this but still have not received that email confirming the replacement. The guy I was speaking to via chat did not give me the feeling that he knew what he was doing. He only “went back to review my orders again” after I snapped that I can’t get him to understand that the order is not complete. He then put me on hold awhile, came back & said he resolved it. Ok, where!? He said he saw a hydrant in another order still on the way. I said yes, do you see I ordered 2!? I did not realize I needed permission to buy an extra for my daughters dogs. He had to put me on hold awhile to research that too. Then he confirmed yes, I ordered 2! 🤯 the missing one shows it was in the box delivered on Monday. It was NOT!
So now I’ve spent well over $200 on dog toys & still missing multiple items. Then the alligator toy arrived yesterday, with a hole in its head. It’s not a large hole but for a dog toy, it will definitely not be a good thing. I took a picture but didn’t feel like talking to a wall via bark chat so did not send it to them. The “pork meat chunks” he said are sold out. I did not want a refund, I wanted a replacement. He said he would send something in its place & I would receive a confirmation email stating this. I still have not received that email & that was 2 days ago.
I don’t really care about the box verse bag issue that seems to have several people upset, I understand saving production & shipping costs. My dogs do enjoy the box but I don’t actually let them eat it or anything so they’ll survive. I do however get tired of the same toys repeatedly. I’ve also requested XL toys. Now they are offering a limited edition XL dog box but… you can’t get that box if you’re already a subscriber. That’s rather aggravating since I’ve requested that XL box for years but now it’s not an option for me? We already do the toy only boxes. I only order treats occasionally but order toys quite often…. Sadly, this morning I signed up for a new dog box with a new company. I am so tired of arguing with bark box!! If I don’t receive ALL my missing items I will have to dispute with my credit card. I am so disappointed with bark. I can’t believe their customer service plummeted so fast. They used to be great but seems they’ve lost their appeal. If they aren’t going to remain loyal to their own brand, why should I? We’ve been loyal to Bark Box & Super Chewer for many years. It’s sad to see them turn their back on long term, loyal customers but at this point I should be leaving them 1 star. I’m only giving 3 because I have been happy over the years and just because they’ve dropped the ball doesn’t mean I forgot all the good experiences we’ve had in the past. I don’t want to think about canceling & ending our long term relationship with Bark but I have spent far too much money to be treated like they could care less.
