my tumblr mutuals will take characters from media that is not very good & construct such rich & intricate inner worlds for them in their posts that i will go wow that sounds so compelling let me go check this out….& then the canon character will be like. relatively boring with very little interiority. but that’s okay because sometimes the real character is the one my tumblr mutuals hallucinated along the way….

hey guys not sure if any of you relate but personally ive been really big into stories lately. characters, even. i find myself impacted by fiction. yeah. that made-up stuff. this is just one brief look into my sick and twisted mind

i love being single except every few months when i want to be loved so bad that it eats me alive and makes me physically ill for two weeks but like the rest of the time im chill

can you guys stop making posts that i materially agree with but that are worded in ways i find too disagreeable to be reblogged. it rankles

one of my strongly held beliefs is that self driving cars should not exist. i don’t care how good the technology gets, i will not trust it. if you want transportation that you don’t have to be in control of, you should be in support of better public transit. you want trains.

“That isn’t funny. I suppose I have no choice but to wait. But the clock is ticking. Time is running out. What to do? Why is he never around when I need him? It’s almost as if he knows I’m looking for him.”

thinking about how my local minor league hockey team did a sort of rebrand this past season and now all their stuff looks like total ass, which is a SHAME because I ADOREDDDDDD the old name/branding and now everytime I see stuff for it out and about I get so MAD because why did they fumble it so bad?!?!?!?

anyways they’ll be hosting the Athens Rock Lobsters here in a couple months and I’ve convinced my mom to come to a game with me so she can cheer for the home team and I can cheer for the Rock Lobsters without feeling much guilt for it 😂

also it’ll be my first in person hockey game EVER so that’ll be exciting if nothing else.

wow players having to stand in lines for a quest because a relevant npc can only talk to one player at a time. is the funniest image on the planet

image

i need to correct this: wow classic doesn’t have any npcs that can only talk to one player at a time. these lines actually formed for a quest npc that players had to kill to complete the objective. knowing that i think this image is even funnier.

My favourite is the guy saying, “This is like being at the dmv”

puttering around the house is an underrated form a self-care. make some tea or coffee. put on a podcast. sort the mail. tidy some pillows and fold some blankets. start the laundry. thaw some soup. just casually wander around aimlessly doing little things to make your space and life a little nicer. who cares if you get distracted or only do a little. you aren't being productive. you're puttering.

Cemeteries are not wastes of space. Historical cemeteries ESPECIALLY are not wastes of space. The fact developers are continuously foaming at the mouth to destroy them and put a strip mall up in their place should make you even more determined to help maintain them. In urban areas, they are a haven for wildlife. They are a green space. If you are too afraid of death to utilize them for that purpose, that is on you.

songwriters love to go around saying "my lyrics are meaningless, there's no story behind it, they're just words and sounds" and then years later when asked about a biography they will say "noooo there's no need for a biography. everything about me is in the songs I wrote"

Emmylou Harris' 2nd album of 1975 (after Pieces of the Sky, which had been released in February) appeared on 29 December.

Elite Hotel was Harris' first album to hit #1 on the Billboard Country chart (it peaked at #25 on the Album chart), and included 2 #1 Country singles "Together Again" (written by Buck Owens) and "Sweet Dreams" (written by Don Gibson).

It sucks that self insert characters are treated like a cardinal sin. We have the power to imagine ourselves in a better world doing interesting shit and we treat that like it’s a bad thing? Why do we try to limit the human mind?

Write if you can.

If you can't write: Edit.

If you can't edit: Outline.

If you can't outline: Brainstorm.

If you can't brainstorm: Rest.

Writing is many tasks. Do whichever ones you can handle and you'll still be making progress.

Oooo ahhh. It’s a porcelain snail. I wonder if she’s carrying tea in her shell ☕️

[ID: A digital illustration of a golden snail with a white floral porcelain shell. It has a small cream doily on its head and between its body and the shell. The shell has a pattern of green leaves and pink roses. End ID]

just had a convo with my friend. she mentioned she doesnt like sake cause its sparkling.

“wait, sake is sparkling? what have i been drinking?” i said. because i also dont like sparkling stuff.

i look at the sake bottle ive been drinking from for fun events for the past year. its vinegar.

i’ve been drinking strawberry flavored vinegar.

in my defense:

and:

a bottle of strawberry flavored vinegarALT
a bottle of strawberry sakeALT

its very hard to tell for someone who only kind-of reads Japanese and just saw the component for "sake flask" () and, rightfully assumed, that the bottle that said sake was probably sake.

No no, you don’t get to hide this in the tags

Summary: no one involved was drinking sake.
