Landscaping trimmed one of his favorite trees (he calls it Grapes Tree) and he’s trying to fix it…
When two or more trees form a little window to the sky with their leaves and it looks like a Bob Ross/Mother Nature colab. Perfection.

I love these things so much! But I can never remember their name. I look it up & go oh yeah! Then poof – gone again.
Hazel Pine, or Sweetgum Tree fruits! Commonly called Gum Balls. :)
Unfortunately most of it is released when it dies and decomposes.
Keep your trees healthy! If they show signs of disease or parasites, call a tree doctor! It is cheaper to treat a sick tree than to pay a service to cut down and remove the stump of a dead/dying tree anyway.
