Early Access Review
Worlds Adrift is an exploration game in early access with a rather high price, which made me more cautious when I considered buying the game. After some more research on the game I was convinced to pick it up since I knew what I was getting into and the idea of this kind of exploration game really intrigued me.
There is a video by the devs on the store page of Worlds adrift right now which I feel does a good job of reminding people of what early access means, because just buying this game out of the blue at this price is sort of setting yourself up for disappointment.

Pros:

- a large world for you to cruise around in
- a nice and fitting artstyle and soundtrack
- ship design leaves a lot of room for creativity
- ship to ship combat is an awesome experience with the freedom of movement given
- Knowledge mechanic could be improved but generally is a good form of progression
- GRAPPLING HOOK
- like most games it's more fun when played with a group! it also saves a lot of time when gathering resources

Cons:

- high price (not really justified by the content as of right now)
- lack of players (can add to atmosphere imo, but you are definitely not alone out there! Look for ships and active shipyards)
- there are some very aggressive players out there that can give you a hard time especially if you just started playing, but ideally with a crew, cannons and a bit of experience onboard defending yourself really should not be a problem (note that in my playtime, only about 1 out of 10 people I met were hostile, so don't just panic attack or run from everyone you see)
- tends to not run well on low-end pc's (though the infamous client freeze is much less of a problem than it used to be)

There are a few quite deadly bugs that will blow you away (literally, off your ship and into the abyss heheh) but it's good to see that they are being worked on. I love this game and I love that it will get even better in the future!
