See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

overanalyzing my playlist

so i’m kinda bored right now and think this could be interesting so without further ado:

Part 1: “Intro”

This portion of the playlist marks the start of everything, starting out with “Konton Boogie” it carries on the fast-paced pop sorta music for a long while. We take a short break from all the lyrics with a cover of “Order” before continuing with the lyrical songs for a LONG time; we get a break of about seven minutes of much more relaxed music with “If I Could” (the secret Jamie Paige song) and “Some More of That Song” (which sets us up for a few motifs later). after the small break there’s nothing much of note.

notes:

-Rabbit Hole was the first vocaloid song I ever sought out and listened to but I wasn’t introduced to the concept of a vocaloid until later in probablyyyyyy early 2024ish?

Part 2: “Ship of Theseus ”

This is the part of the playlist that I add new songs into, it is constantly changing as I discover new songs. I frequently start my listening in this portion of the playlist since the whole thing is four fucking hours long. It ends off with two of the more chill songs from FLABOR FOLEY’s portfolio in order to give you a break from all the fast paced stuff so that you don’t feel overwhelmed by everything back-to-back-to-back.

notes:

-Contains the only “normal” song (“Virtual Insanity”).

-we get our first official channel Jamie Paige song here (“SQUARE UP”, which was posted on my birthday :D )!

Part 3: “Addiction”

sigh

if you don’t know already, I am very much addicted to Jamie Paige’s work and it SHOWS.

i… almost always get fully through this part at least once a day…

anyways, this is by far my favorite part of the playlist. we continue the break with “It’s 2013 Again” and end it with “FIRE!!!”, where we bring back the more fast-paced style. now, finally, is when the motifs start coming into play again, “Dyad” brings back the constant companions motif from “Some More of That Song” (even though Dyad started the motif smh). after Dyad we get #2 and #1 respectively for my favorite song(s) with “Machine Love” and “ROT FOR CLOUT”. these two songs have earned their top spots out of every song i’ve ever listened to, “Machine Love” was my introduction to Kasane Teto and honestly the Vocaloid scene in general; “ROT FOR CLOUT”

what can I say for “ROT FOR CLOUT” that I haven’t said before?

this song honestly might have saved my life, I was in a horrible mental spiral throughout middle school but it got really bad in 7th and early-mid 8th grade. I had been folding under the pressure of bullying, intense classes, and problems from my old social media platform (as in like DOXXING risk), so I was starting with what’s it called? not suicidal thoughts because i never seriously considered that, but a “I honestly don’t care for life anymore, if I died tomorrow I wouldn’t care” approach to life.

but when things got too hard I could always count on “ROT FOR CLOUT” to be there to give me some solace in those horrible times.

but alas, my mental health is much better nowadays as i’ve figured out alot of the stuff that was causing my problems (figuring out my sexuality, having too much responsibility online, extreme workloads, BAD burnout, etc.) and this isn’t a vent post so I digress.

“Skygirl” reminds us of SMOTS and y'know all that.

(sorry i kinda poured out a lot of emotion with the RFC reasoning)

Part 4: “Return & Finale”

After the Closure of “The Song of The Eared Robot” which wraps up the Jamie Paige part of the playlist (by calling us back to “Machine Love”) we start a reprise with “World Yearning For An End” which starts the Breakcore -> Vocaloid -> Breakcore pattern until the very end, where we finish the playlist with “The Death Of God’s Will”.

Thanks for reading!
